"This is the most expensive lens I've bought for my E-P1 so far, but it's well worth the cost, especially if you can find it on sale. Olympus has pulled off an engineering miracle in creating such a compact ultra-wide zoom.Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm F4.0-5.6 Lens - Brand New review

Olympus 9-18mm f/4-5.6 ED M.Zuiko Digital review by iffo
Especially at the smaller focal lengths, the corner sharpness remains behind the centre sharpness. This lens, like the Olympus 45 mm 1.8, is an inexpensive lens that offers first class optical performance: a very high resolution, low distortion and low vignetting.- Compact and light weight High optical quality: high resolution
- low weight and limited distortion Large viewing angle Low price
- Visible chromatic aberration Construction feels cheap

Like any concept, the Four Thirds imaging system has its pros and cons. On the plus side, camera bodies and lenses tend to be very compact, but then the four/thirds aspect ratio that's in keeping with pre-widescreen viewing screens now looks dated.
Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f4.0-5.6
The new Micro Four Thirds cameras from Olympus and Panasonic may have grabbed all the headlines recently, but Olympus at least seems committed to carrying on with the regular Four Thirds format too.

Olympus Zuiko Digital 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6 ED DSA Lens.
I have had a short time to use this lens. I am very satisfied with the result so far, I have wanted a wide angle lens for some time but did not want a fish eye lens. The result so far at 9mm is good.
W/A for underwater
This is an excptionally good lens for use underwater. It has the wide-angle perspective generally considered to be the best for undewater use. If your camera uses micro 4/3 lenses, and it fits into your underwater housing, it is a very good choice. Optical quality is excellent!- Easy To Use
- Lightweight
- Reliable
