If you shoot with a Micro Four Thirds CSC, the Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO M.ZUIKO is ideal for wildlife, portrait and action photographers. It's the second lens to join the Olympus PRO series alongside the 12-40mm f/2.8 wide-angle (£799).

REVIEW: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens Review

This telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) system cameras provides an angle of view equivalent to an 80-300mm lens used on a 35mm format camera and sports a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO - Review / Test Report

The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO is, mostly, a highly desirable lens - except for one bug. On the positive side, it is very good if not excellent in the primary image quality metrics. It is very sharp across the focal length range including some greatness in the middle portion.

With the M.Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 PRO and the MC-14 converter, we have 24-420mm equivalent in a really small package. Paired with the Olympus E-M1 is a top quality equipment.

Weatherproof, all metal, manual focus clutch, f2.8 constant, fast and acurate focus, very interesting lens hood, image quality, very good zoom range; In general, optional MC-14 teleconverter, top quality Olympus lens and corrrect price for the quality

A little heavy (800g) and big (f2.8

Hand Held Wonder

This lens is why I packed my OM4T up, put in on the shelf and finally went M4/3. Olympus finally gave me a reason to switch. The reason I used my OM4 for so long was portability. The 40-150 on my M-1 returned the Olympus advantage to digital. This lens is best with the 1.4 teleconverter.

Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro M.Zuiko Digital ED

I pre-ordered this lens with convertor when released. I only occasionally use the converter. Even though I've scratched it (a bit), I have never regretted the purchase for a moment. . Want a close shot of something small and timid This is as good as it gets. .

Sharp, fast focus, the closest focus of any such lens; Great hood, rain impervious, good into the light; Compatible with focus stacking and other EM-1+ or EM-5mk2+ advanced features

IQ falls off a tad with the converter attached

Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO

I previously owned this lens when using Olympus and then switched systems only to return and purchase it again. This focal length is so useful and at a constant f/2.8. It also works very well for portraits.

Superb lens on Panasonic or Olympus

I was looking for a mid telephoto and had difficulty choosing between the Olympus 40-150mm f2.8 and the Lumix 35-100 2.8. Both are fantastic lenses. In the end it comes down to which is more important, the longer reach of the Olympus (and having the option of using the MC-14 teleconverter) vs having...

I love this focal length range - fits how I see the world.

Advantages: 1.excellent image quality; 2. fixed max f2.8 aperture; 3. I just love this focal length range--for me it's the perfect outdoor and portrait lens. It just fits how I typically see the world! Disadvantages: 1. Relatively large; 2. Relatively heavy (compared to other micro 4/3 lenses); 3.
