Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8 Lens ($899.99 direct) is a prime telephoto optic for the Micro Four Thirds camera system, and as such can be used on interchangeable lens cameras manufactured by Olympus and Panasonic.

Very sharp; Smooth, creamy bokeh

Pricey; Doesn't balance well on small Micro Four Thirds cameras.

Olympus' excellent but pricey portrait lens for M4/3

Olympus' M.Zuiko 75mm f1.8 is a lovely, well-constructed and -performing telephoto lens for photographing people. It's so nice, in fact, that I found myself wishing Olympus made lenses for larger-sensored ILCs.

The Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f1.8 delivers generally excellent optical performance in a well-constructed lens

The manual focus ring feels a little too loose

M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8 Lens Shows Olympus is Serious about Micro Four Thirds

Olympus has unveiled an interesting new portrait lens: the M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm Micro Four Thirds. Micro Four Thirds format cameras have been steadily gaining traction for a while now and anyone who has had to lug around a heavy DSLR and a bunch of lenses for any length of time will have a good...

Love it.

I've taken the best photos in the last 5 years in the last two weeks I've had this lens. Sharp edge to edge wide open this thing is awesome. Perfect portrait lens if you have enough room. Built like a tank this thing is solid. Buy it or buy the kit with the 45mm.

Excellent optics

I use this for any shots where I need subject isolation, such as portraits. This lens has a nice build, is reasonably compact and light. But the best thing is the optical quality right from f1.8 across the frame. The only thing that is not quite up to that standard is the AF speed.

Consistent Output; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh; Optical quality; Strong Construction

Slow Focus

Olympus 75mm f/1.8 ED M.Zuiko Digital review by romeo

After using Nikon (D300/D700) and Sony (NEX-7/A7r) now I use only Olympus. Two body OM-D E-M5, one OM-D E-M5 with 25mm F1.8 and another OM-D E-M5 with 75mm F1.8. No regrets for the past, for me small is beautiful. Image quality of the Olympus with its lens is sharp, beautiful with gorgeous color.

Light - Small - Fast - Sharp - Lens Hood

Magnificent lens for my camera, in an excellent complete set.

Zamechalny lens for shooting of portraits and video. In a set there were additional accessories of a blend and the UV filter. I am happy with this purchase!

This lens keeps me to stay in MFT system.

I have been debating whether to go to FF or APSC sensor size due to DOF and low light performance of them. This lens I bought used through Amazon (seriously like new at 2/3 price). The result I love so much that I am keeping my MFT system.

Great portrait lens

This lens is super sharp and has great bokeh to help create the creamy soft backgrounds that cause your subject to stand out.
