Olympus E-5

Upgrade from E420 and two other Olympus cameras

I purchased this camera 06.09.2011 having read and studied technical details and thought that it would be difficult to use. However, I have found it easier than the other cameras (perhaps with my past experience of the other three) and is very satisfying to use/operate.

Excellent LCD screen but camera is quite heavy with a good lens attached i.e 14-54 2.8. lens.Pleased with the quality of the images.

This camera does everything I wanted it to do.

I have owned an Olympus E-5 for 2 years. I have used it to do Macro, Landscapes, wildlife, family, sports. It has handled everything I have tried effortlessly. The results have been absolutely beautiful. I have used it on beaches, in the mountains and everywhere you can think of.

Great camera at a very fair price

I bought this camera to "upgrade" my Olympus E-3. Like the E-3 (and the E-1 and E-20 before it), this camera with grip is a substantial piece of equipment. I'm not a shooter who wants small & light in my hands & prefer using the OVF rather than the LCD panel.

Best out there for the money in spite of the price tag

I've been shooting with the E-5 for about a year now and have been very happy with the quality and durability of the product. I traded in an Olympus E510 body to get this after putting it off for some time and it has been well worth it. No problems with the E-510.
