Nokia N900 Review

After speaking recently to a few other people who have used the N900 some said they had big problems with it such as it turning itself off. Not me though. I had no issues at all. I actually really like the Nokia N900. Not enough to get one but I think its a good bit of kit.

Nokia N900 review

Physically, the N900 has a QWERTY side-slide design, a little on the chubby side but still manageable in a pocket. It has a 3.5" screen and is very definitely an internet tablet with phone capabilities, in that order.

Nokia N900 Review

I know the Linux guys out there will hate me for saying this, but Maemo 5 and the N900 are the perfect example of why a highly closed-source product like the iPhone can be so successful.

Nokia N900

Tweet It has been a while since Nokia served up a phone that truly blew us away; as far back as the N95 if we're honest. The more recent N97 is good, but it isn't wow, while the 5800 XpressMusic is really cool, but not revolutionary. Now the Nokia N900 has the potential to break the mould.
Pros:
  • Multi-tasking and browsing are incredible on the N900
Cons:
  • It feels like a concept product- a little rough around the edges

Nokia N900 review

The Nokia N900 is a powerful phone with really impressive specifications. In our opinion Maemo 5 looks a lot better than Symbian and has a lot more potential to become a great OS. It takes a little while to get used to, but it does really shine when in use.

Nokia N900 Tablet

The Nokia N900 is ready to show you endless possibilities in fun and entertainment.  Combining stylish design, a suite of entertainment applications, and high-tech capability, it is for people looking for a powerful mobile Internet device rather than just a great smartphone.
Pros:
  • - Like most smartphones currently on the market, the Nokia N900 lacks multitouch capability, which means no pinch and zoom for the N900
  • To zoom in, what Nokia did was to come up with a "spinning" motion
  • Users can also zoom in with a double tap.
