Nokia N9 (Unlocked)
The Nokia N9 ($700 street) has stepped through a door from an alternate reality with a lesson for us. Almost impossible to buy in the U.S., the N9 is rumored to use the same body, and many of the features of Nokia's upcoming flagship Windows Phone, known as "Sea Ray.
Pros:
- Physically gorgeous
- Works on both AT&T and T-Mobile
- Excellent screen
Cons:
- OS is dead on arrival
- Sluggish browser
- Poor app selection

Pretty but dumb
I so wanted to love this phone. I bought it outright at Christmas because I thought it was time for me to get a smartphone. I have always been a Nokia fan, I find them so easy to use.

Nokia N9 hands-on
Nokia pulled the covers off their N9 handset this morning, stepping into the breach and brushing aside the spectre of Symbian with its new MeeGo operating system. We were on hand to have a play with the handset and although our time was limited, here you'll find our first impressions.

Nokia's latest smartphone is a sharp-looking slimline phone with more than a passing resemblance to a certain range of pocket-sized MP3 players. Arriving in several colours, it'll be Nokia's first phone to be powered by its new MeeGo operating system.
