Nokia N9 Review
The Nokia N9 is the most interesting phone that came out of the Finnish company in years. Not only because it comes with totally different OS but also because it represents what Nokia could have become if it had done this strategy way earlier.

Beautifully simple. That's the marketing tag-line for Nokia's promotion of the N9 smartphone, the first and last Nokia phone to run the MeeGo operating system. The N9 is the best looking and slickest device the company has released in a number of years.
Pros:
- Fantastic design and build quality
- Bright and clear screen
- Slick and easy to use software
Cons:
- Limited third-party apps
- First and last MeeGo phone
- Below average battery life

Nokia N9 Review
It's somehow fitting, running our review of the much-anticipated Nokia N9 smartphone on the eve of Nokia World 2011 . The company is expected to reveal its plans for salvation, namely adopting Windows Phone, while the N9 runs what Nokia used to believe would save it, MeeGo .

Nokia N9 Review: Gorgeous Hardware
My understanding is that the N9 was all but complete when Stephen Elop announced Nokia's sea change. In fact, I'm writing this review 60 minutes before Nokia (hopefully) announces their first phones running Windows Phone 7. So what does the N9 mean in this context?

Nokia is well known for their camera quality and the N9 certainly does not disappoint. The Carl Ziess lens based camera takes beautiful pictures and takes them reasonably fast as long as flash is not involved. Using the dual LED flash will result in the familiar but minimal lag.

Nokia N9
Tweet The die is cast as Nokia will be employing Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system (OS) as its primary smartphone OS, having recently unveiled its Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones .
Pros:
- Stylish design
- compact
- very intuitive UI
- capable snapper and excellent speakers
Cons:
- Not that cheap
- questionable amount of firmware updates in future
- meagre amount of apps

Nokia N9
The Nokia N9 is Nokia's last hurrah before they make the switch to being a Windows Phone manufacturer. It runs their customized version of the MeeGo OS that's based on Linux, and it's a thoroughly modern and beautifully designed touch-based OS.
Pros:
- Simply gorgeous design
- modern and enjoyable OS
- lovely AMOLED display
Cons:
- Expensive
- not many will be made
- Nokia doesn't intend to continue developing MeeGo OS

Review of Nokia's N9, its first and last MeeGo powered smartphone
The Nokia N9 was announced to the world in June of this year. By October, it was replaced with the successor to Nokia's throne, the Lumia 800. Dan takes a look at the unique N9 and its equally different hardware and software in our full review of Nokia's only MeeGo smartphone.
Pros:
- Gorgeous hardware design
- excellent display
- solid camera
Cons:
- Weak app ecosystem
- occasional performance bugs
- you can't buy it in most markets

Nokia N9 review
The Nokia N9 is a weird beast. It runs the MeeGo Harmattan OS and has been released after a so-called elopocalypse when Nokia's new CEO Stephen Elop controversially turned towards the Windows Phone platform, ditching both homegrown smartphone platforms – [...
