Nokia N86 8MP
There's a lot to like about the N86 8MP, but it's hard to fall in love with it too. While it's well made with good features, it looks and feels like a phone from several years ago.
Pros:
- Solid construction
- Great keypad
- Good 8MP camera
- 8GB storage
Cons:
- 2.6-inch screen is small for this price range
- Earpiece speaker was muffled during tests

Nokia N86 8MP
There's a lot to like about the N86 8MP; it combines everything we loved about Nokia's N-Series since the N95, mixing great hardware with a solid platform and Nokia's growing suite of Ovi apps - but it's hard to fall in love with it too.
Pros:
- Solid construction
- Great keypad
- Good 8MP camera
- 8GB storage
Cons:
- 2.6-inch screen is small for this price range
- Earpiece speaker was muffled during tests

The Nokia N86 8MP is being trialed by an iPhone 3GS user
James Burland is an experienced Nseries user, Apple iPhone 3GS admirer and a photographic wizard, so in August he borrowed a Nokia N86 8MP for a few weeks, this was to find out if he could push the camera, as its exceptional selling point.

Nokia's late entry into 8 MP but worth a buy
I owned a Motorokr E6 touch screen phone and wanted to buy a camera phone which can take decent pictures. I eyed on the Sony Ericsson C902 (the phone James Bond uses in Quatum of Solace) which has got a 5 MP camera.

The reality is that images from the Nokia N86 can now be printed at A4 with ease, which makes it a credible alternative to carrying a digital compact around. This phone also includes high quality video, internet access, MP3 and multimedia messaging.

Nokia N86 8MP review Review
Cast in the same mould as N-series classics like the N95, the N86 8MP smart phone doesn't break any new ground but is a solid example of what Nokia does best. Sporting an attractive two-way slider design, it offers tonnes of features, chief among which is a fantastic 8-megapixel camera
Pros:
- Excellent photo quality
- Dedicated music and gaming buttons
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- GPS
- Great selection of apps available
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- FM and Internet radio
Cons:
- Nokia's Ovi Store is still weak
- User interface looks dated
- Not the easiest phone to use
- Connecting to Wi-Fi is fiddly
- Keys are too small

Nokia N86 - Late on the Eight
With Nokia's first 8-megapixel camera phone, the N86, finally out in the market, will the Finnish giant be able to make some headway in this fast moving race? The verdict, is in the pictures within this review.

It's been almost a year since the first mobile phone with an eight-megapixel camera sensor from the likes of Samsung and Sony Ericsson was introduced to consumers - a year that is long in the making of Nokia's first similar device, the Nokia N86.
