The Nokia N86 takes awesome snaps and rightfully deserves its place alongside the Sony Ericsson C905 and LG Viewty Smart as a superb cameraphone.

Nokia N86
While many of the latest smartphones will offer you the chance to customise with apps, surf the web with ease and basically do lots of funky things, the one thing they all have is a general disregard for the camera.
Pros:
- Camera
- dedicated camera buttons
- screen
- simple and easy to use
Cons:
- Lens cover annoying
- S60 looking dated

Nokia N86 Mobile Phone
Nokia has taken its time getting into the 8 megapixel camera market and this, their N86 is the entry. It has a lot of catching up to do and the big questions are – will this one be worth the price? And will it have enough features to make you want to buy it? Take a look, here's my opinion.

It's getting harder to categorise mobile phones these days - my Nokia E75 is a ‘smartphone' because Nokia pitches it that way. The N86, however, has exactly the same smart functionality but it's got an 8 megapixel camera on the back, so that theoretically makes it a ‘camera phone'.

N86 8MP
Very nice phone! Nokia phones are always made of solid material. screen is very good the only thing that is not legible in the sun. the most important feature is the 8 MP camera which is excellent !
Pros:
- OLED is very good with pronounced contrast
- 8MP excellent
- huge memory storage
- after update device is very fast
- Ovi Maps 3.0
- Digital compass :
Cons:
- 2.6 inches is maybe to small for today phones with web search
- battery is weak when using GPS and also video recording
- problem with FM transmitter! :

Nokia N86 8MP
For a company that proudly holds up its Nseries range of 'multimedia computers' as beacons of mobile innovation, it's hard to believe that Nokia has only just rolled out its first 8MP camera phone, the N86.

Nokia N86 8MP Review
The first Nokia mobile phone to reach the 8-megapixel camera mark, Nokia N86 8MP revives the N-series, which was almost overrun by the competition. Following the same line imposed by its N85 predecessor, Nokia N86 8MP is stuffed with the latest camera technologies that the Finnish company seemed to...
Pros:
- The strong point of the smartphone is definitely the 8-megapixel camera, which should receive a software update to perform better
- I would also highlight here the HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) connectivity, the accelerometer for auto-rotate, the good battery, the very good music sound, the web browser with Flash...
Cons:
- Perhaps a fresher design that would meet nowadays demands would've made the phone more appealing
- Also, the lack of a document editor or DivX and XviD support drags the phone a little backwards
- The AMOLED display is also a negative point, as its performance under sunlight is poor.

Review: Camera group test: Nokia N86 8MP, N97, N82 and Samsung i8510
In this group review, we compare the results of photos shot on the Nokia N82 (an imaging-focussed S60 phone with a five megapixel sensor and a very good reputation), the Samsung i8510 (the first 8 megapixel S60 cameraphone), the Nokia N97 (Nokia's new high end Nseries) and the Nokia N86 8MP (Nokia's...

worth every penny
Make no mistakes, this is a serious piece of kit. If you're after a phone that'll impress your mates, or looks expensive, then keep looking. Go for the 5800, or the N97 instead. This is a phone for serious mobile enthusiasts.

In general it's one of the simpler smartphones out there but can still be packed with apps of your choice. Definitely one to consider.
