Expectations Exceeded

I have used Android since it first became available and have watched as it has evolved. There are still some points of "stickiness" and a few little buggy actions I have seen on about every phone I have used.
Pros:
  • design
Cons:
  • no expansion

Nokia Lumia 900 Review: In Depth

Do we like the Lumia 900? Yes. A lot. It's lovely. It's solid and reassuring, its screen is bold and deep, and it's usable one handed. Demure, subtle and fluid however it isn't - those are qualities of the Lumia 800.
Pros:
  • Large AMOLED display
  • Fantastic Nokia apps
  • Smooth
  • attractive interface
Cons:
  • Too big for a 4.3-inch device
  • Identical to Lumia 800
  • Poor camera indoor performance

Nokia Lumia 900

The Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the most anticipated Windows phones and it lives up to its expectations with its sleek design, fast processor, and relatively affordable price point. Design-wise the device is truly eye-catching, albeit a bit portly.

Nokia Lumia 900

THE LATEST PRODUCT of the Microsoft and Nokia love-in has arrived in the form of the 4.3in Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone. The handset is essentially a larger version of the Lumia 800 aiming to appeal to those who are after a sizeable Windows Phone device, perhaps as a Live Tiled...
Pros:
  • One of the best displays on the mobile market
  • gorgeous design
  • Windows Phone interface is intuitive
  • decent battery
Cons:
  • Lacklustre camera
  • Too similar to the Nokia Lumia 800

The Nokia Lumia 900 is the most impressive Nokia Windows Phone to-date but it stills feels hampered by an OS that doesn't allow for much in the way of true power-user status. That said, it's got a cracking battery life, the finish is fantastic and we anyone looking for a big-screen, easy-use phone...
Pros:
  • The Nokia Lumia 900 sticks to the tried and tested design of the Nokia N9 and Nokia Lumia 800 before it, just on a bigger scale
  • The design has been tweaked, the charging port has been alerted, for example, and the feel of the polycarbonate body is different, suggesting a tweaked recipe but the...
Cons:
  • Nokia has done away with the curved glass that made the Nokia Lumia 800, and the HTC One X, such gorgeous phones to look at and use
  • By comparison, the flat screen isn't as viewable from all angles and it means the homescreen doesn't quite pop out at you in the same fashion.

Great Phone - Texting is just OK

Ok, so this phone has all the bells and whistles. I mean calls are clear, the camera is nice, the processor is fast, the internet is super fast too. The phone feels solid and battery is awesome!

Nokia Lumia 900 review

In the end, the Lumia 900 feels like a larger Lumia 800 with a few extra features that will mostly go unnoticed. With the questionable pricing from MTN (R369 on an Anytime 200 contract), and the fact that Microsoft has essentially exiled it, it's impossible to recommend the Nokia Lumia 900 over the...
