I am a nineteen year old girl and like like to use apps such as instagram, snapchat, etc. The phone gives no option to download these apps. I did hear that they will be updating and it will be able to have apps, but it could be just a rumor.

Nokia Lumia 900

Though it's a good phone on its own merits, the Lumia 900 doesn't have a great place in the current smartphone landscape. It's like a phone that missed the boat last year and arrived too late this year to be really relevant.
Pros:
  • Sleek unibody design
  • Good battery life
  • Outstanding AMOLED display
Cons:
  • No user replaceable battery
  • Non-expandable memory
  • Not significantly different to Lumia 800
  • Not upgradeable to Windows Phone 8

Nokia Lumia 900 review: Nokia Lumia 900

The Lumia 900 is a fish out of water in Australia in 2012. It's not that different to its forerunner, the Lumia 800, and its not upgradeable to Windows Phone 8. Those interested in Microsoft's OS should wait for newer models later in the year. The Lumia 900 hit US stores in January, preceded by accolades and fanfare. It would take the top spot as the 4G flagship for telco Sprint and it seemed to have a bright future. As it strolls into Optus stores in Australia, sans 4G and with the knowledge that it won't be upgraded to Windows Phone 8, the story is quite different.
Pros:
  • Sleek unibody design
  • Good battery life
  • Outstanding AMOLED display.
Cons:
  • No user replaceable battery
  • Non-expandable memory
  • Not significantly different to Lumia 800
  • Not upgradeable to Windows Phone 8.

Great Phone - Texting is just OK

Ok, so this phone has all the bells and whistles. I mean calls are clear, the camera is nice, the processor is fast, the internet is super fast too. The phone feels solid and battery is awesome!

Nokia Lumia 900 review

In the end, the Lumia 900 feels like a larger Lumia 800 with a few extra features that will mostly go unnoticed. With the questionable pricing from MTN (R369 on an Anytime 200 contract), and the fact that Microsoft has essentially exiled it, it's impossible to recommend the Nokia Lumia 900 over the...

Nokia Lumia 900 review

It's bigger, but despite its really rather lovely screen, the Lumia 900 is really no more powerful than its little brother, the Lumia 800 , which offers a similar spec for a more modest price.
Pros:
  • Big
  • sharp display
  • Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
  • front-facing camera, strong selection of free services
Cons:
  • Not a big step up from the 800
  • no memory expansion

Review: Nokia Lumia 900

is not a specced-out superphone for the early adopters. The dominating forces in the mobile hardware race - Apple, HTC, Motorola, Samsung - have got that area covered, with beefy handsets offering the fastest processors, the highest resolutions and all the other things that matter to the top echelon...
Pros:
  • Highly optimized Windows Phone experience makes the most of the phone's relatively modest specs
  • Fun hardware design and bright colors turn heads
  • Great battery life: On automatic screen brightness, I got two full days with average use.
Cons:
  • Low resolution is a shame for such an otherwise great display
  • Tiny gap between the display and the polycarbonate body of the handset easily collects crap like food particles and skin cells
  • The circular shape of the charger plug is a power-strip hog.
