Nokia Lumia 610 Windows Phone

Nokia's Lumia 610 may have a cheap price tag but it feels anything but that. This is a very well built smartphone that offers a slick user experience, but its low RAM results in some annoying limitations. Nokia appears to be the only manufacturer aggressively pushing the Windows Phone platform and part of this plan is a range of products at all price points. The Lumia 610 is the baby of the Lumia family and is currently the cheapest Windows Phone on the market in Australia. The Lumia 610 is a well built smartphone that offers a slick user experience, though its low RAM results in some annoying limitations.
Pros:
  • Good build quality
  • Great battery life
  • Smooth user experience
Cons:
  • Low RAM limits some apps
  • Mediocre screen
  • No front-facing camera

Nokia Lumia 610 in-depth review -

After delaying for what seemed like forever to enter the smartphone market, Nokia is hitting it hard now with a slew of Lumia mobiles. The Lumia 800 was a fantastic premium phone that really showed off Windows Phone 7, and it was quickly followed by a budget model, the Lumia 710, which brought...
Pros:
  • Sharp and colourful screen
  • looks upgraded from Lumia 710
  • Windows Phone is fun and intuitive
Cons:
  • Limited performance
  • Windows still lagging for apps
  • average battery life

Nokia Lumia 610

Nokia Lumia 710 – For those dead set on the Lumia series but not happy with the specs of the 610, the Nokia Lumia 710 is a good mid-level handset. It'll set you back a fair bit more than the 610 without encroaching on the price of the likes of the 900, but it also packs in a 1.4GHz processor and an...

Nokia Lumia 610 review

The Nokia Lumia 610 is an excellent way to get into Windows Phone for under £200, but don't expect quite the same performance as the pricier Lumia 800s or the same inspiring build quality
Pros:
  • Ergonomic design
  • Internet tethering
  • Relatively fast user-interface
Cons:
  • Some tasks really slow it down
  • Low memory means some apps won't work
  • Not quite budget-friendly enough

Excelent budget phone!

We got this phone for my mother, and she's fascinated with it! She loves the metro UI and she's learning very fast. She only complains about the tiny text and icons, so she needs to wear glasses all the time. Besides that, it's a great value for money!

Editor's Review of the Lumia 610

It may be the cheapest Windows Phone device yet, but the Lumia 610 features a decent 3.7-inch screen, 800MHz processor and a 5MP camera

Nokia Lumia 610

The Nokia Lumia 610 is a budget Windows Phone mobile - and the cheapest big-name Windows phone to date. Sacrifices under the hood have been made to get there, but this is one of just a few Windows phones you can get SIM-free without spending a fortune.
Pros:
  • Windows Phone looks good
  • Neat design
  • Good social networking integration
Cons:
  • Awful games support
  • Some stuttery lag

Nokia Lumia 610 review

When the Windows Phone operating system launched in 2010 it was strictly a premium affair, with Microsoft insisting on a relatively high spec for all the smartphones it was used in.
Pros:
  • Most affordable Windows Phone handset
  • smooth performance
  • good battery life
Cons:
  • No memory expansion
  • slimmed down Windows Phone spec
