Almost perfect phone

I've owned this phone for 5.5 months and am extremely happy with it. The only issue that keeps me from rating it a 5.0 is the call quality. I've always owned nothing but Nokia phones and this phone probably has the worst call quality compared to all of my previous Nokias, which have had great call...

Great phone for a great price

A great phone. I feel it is a great buy for its price read reviews on other sites, they all agree. It supports 3G for AT&T I never tested this, only EDGE. It may look a little cheap I got a blue one which is still better than gaudy red and lacks GPS like E71 but then it is around $100 cheaper...
Pros:
  • + QWERTY keypad - Great for composing emails IMHO a smartphone is useless without one
  • + Great call quality I used this on the AT&T network in Atlanta and it never dropped a call
  • + Great Wifi reception + Exchange Activesync support - It syncs my office email with ease + Good key grip - Some people...
Cons:
  • - No GPS - Unlike its siblings E-71/72, it lacks a GPS but I knew this while getting this
  • - Plastic body _may_ look cheap - Again compared to my dads E71, its plastic bosy does look cheap, but then it doesnt scratch that easily.

Nokia E63 review: Nokia E63

If you're choosing between the E71 and E63 we don't envy you. The differences in hardware (no HSDPA or GPS) are made up for in its cheaper price tag. The E63 will make an excellent messaging phone for people who need to be connected without the trimmings. Nokia has taken last year's E61 to the guillotine and, after a few simple strikes, has returned with one of the most attractive smartphones on the market at this time ... hang on, haven't we written this sentence before? Oh yeah, this is how we started the review of Nokia's E71, the E63's sexy twin.
Pros:
  • Cute design
  • Great keyboard
  • Zippy performance
  • Outstanding battery life.
Cons:
  • No HSDPA
  • No GPS receiver.

I was expecting ALOT more from this phone

My first gripe of the phone is that it dubbes itself as a 3g phone, when infact it "isnt". this is obviously a consumer mistake but it should have been clearly indicated on the packaging of specs that its UMTS.
Pros:
  • -good battery life
  • navigation buttons arnt cramped
  • good selection of preinstalled software
  • Wifi (pretty much saves the phone
Cons:
  • -CA-101 usb specific
  • usb cable not included -Not "3G" HDSPA
  • UMTS 3G <- essentially Edge speeds -APN settings -No dedicated volume keys
  • lock key -No GPS -The price -Cant use wifi in offline mode.

"The Nokia E63: better than a Blackberry?"

When I bought the Nokia E63 I really only had one concern in mind: I can't afford a Blackberry with it's hefty contract, so what's almost as good? Apparently it was the E63. I read a few reviews online and decided it was the phone for me. The best bits are...
Pros:
  • Good for business
  • great range of features
Cons:
  • Slow at processing requests

All round brilliant phone with everything you could need.

Everyone constantly asks me "why didn't you get a Blackberry" and I always answer "I much prefer this phone to a Blackberry. I bought this phone for £89 with £10 free credit from the Virgin Mobile website. It is the best phone I've had up to yet.

Nokia E63 in-depth review -

When Nokia first launched its Eseries handsets, they were intended primarily for business users. But their popularity extended beyond that group and plenty of consumers are drawn to Eseries devices. As if to serve that dual need, Nokia has included a simple and very clever idea – dual home screens.
Pros:
  • Great keyboard
  • good screen
  • and dual home screens
Cons:
  • A bit large for the pocket
  • and there is no touch-screen
