Nokia 5130 XpressMusic
There are a few places we can understand that Nokia could skimp on when it comes to building a budget handset; slow internet and a low-res camera are forgivable in a sub-AU$150 handset, but shoddy build quality and poor call quality are not.
Pros:
- Slim design
- Dedicated music controls
- 3.5mm headphone socket
- Bundled 1GB memory card
Cons:
- Flimsy build quality
- Muffled earpiece speaker
- Lousy colour display
- Sneaker speaker is bound for the bin

Great for those who want an easy phone to use
My husband is one of these "old school" types that has no idea how to do anything other than ring somebody. He has no interest in camera quality, bluetooth availability and music. Fortunately for me I have finally found him a phone that not only can he work, but he has learnt how to text on.

In the world of Nokia Xpress Music phones, we've seen a full range of models, from the high-end to the rather weird. T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier to have offered Xpress Music phones. It started in 2006 with the 5300 and followed up two years later with the

Nokia 5130 XpressMusic Review
Nokia's XpressMusic series adds another device to its portfolio, which targets young music lovers with not-so-high budgets. The new Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is one of the latest mass-market mobile phones and it offers a complete music solution to those who are fans of the series.
Pros:
- The first things I would like to mention here are the nice finishes
- the easy-to-handle music controls
- excellent music sound
- and good shiny plastic that improves the usual XpressMusic design.
Cons:
- I would've liked to see a more decent camera and the possibility to add a better memory card
- Even though some higher-capacity cards might work with the device, it doesn't officially offer support for these.
