Nintendo Land's varied attractions offer plenty of family-friendly fun and make great use of the Wii U's capabilities.

Nintendo knows a thing or two about crafting worlds that have memorable, immediately recognizable characteristics. Perhaps, for you, the five-note theme that often accompanies Samus' appearance in Metroid games always conjures memories of many happy hours spent exploring alien landscapes.

Fun single-player attractions make good use of the Wii U tablet; Plenty of enjoyable ways to play with friends cooperatively and competitively; Mario Chase is a terrific twist on hide-and-seek; Nintendo themes give the attractions some charm

A few attractions are too difficult or too shallow

Nintendo Land: review

We have Pac-Man clones. We have a simplified FPS adventure experience. We have arena based third person shooters. We have a dumbed down 3D racing game. Alongside these are some nice, non-offensive games which would be fine on a tablet, but with the dual screen gimmick thrown in as a way to reach out...

Nintendo Brilliance

Nintendo have done it again. They've made a launch game (bundled in with the Premium Wii U pack) that perfectly demonstrates exactly what the Wii U is capable of and how the gamepad can be used in many different ways.

Nintendo Land Review

When Nintendo launched the Wii back in 2006, motion control was a revolutionary and novel concept. People simply could not wait to get their grubby hands on those shiny, white remotes and start swinging them around their living rooms.

Nintendo Land (Wii U) Review

Wii Sports played a major role in the Wii's widespread success and it's possibly the best known game of the system. At first glance, Nintendo Land seems to be the Wii U's Wii Sports so to speak, especially when considering that it's bundled with the Wii U Premium Pack.
