Nintendo Land (Wii U) Review

Wii Sports played a major role in the Wii's widespread success and it's possibly the best known game of the system. At first glance, Nintendo Land seems to be the Wii U's Wii Sports so to speak, especially when considering that it's bundled with the Wii U Premium Pack.

Rabbids Land

The lovably grotesque Rabbids delve into tabletop territory in their latest misadventure. In a new twist, Rabbids Land frames its funky flavored mini-games within the confines of a traditional board game, aiming for a vibe that blends the feel of recent Mario Party outings with the look of a Trivial...

Nintendo Land Review

When Nintendo launched the Wii back in 2006, motion control was a revolutionary and novel concept. People simply could not wait to get their grubby hands on those shiny, white remotes and start swinging them around their living rooms.

Nintendo Land review

In 2006, Nintendo used WiiSports and WiiPlay to showcase the abilities of the revolutionary Wii Remote. The recent release of the Wii U brings with it the Wii U GamePad now it's Nintendo Land's task to showcase what the new control system has to offer.

Some great demonstrations of the Wii U GamePad and its abilities; Standout games are Luigi's Ghost Mansion and Metroid Blast; Up to five player gaming

Some games are basically the same principle; GamePad can lose calibration mid game; Some Attractions lack a replay factor

A fairly grounded fairground

A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

Zany, cartoonish mini-games with some mild bathroom humor.

Parents need to know that Rabbids Land is a collection of mini-games meant for up to four people. As with previous games in this series, most activities are accompanied by a very basic brand of bathroom humor -- expect tame gags about burping, cow bums, and throwing up -- likely to be enjoyed most...

Rabbids Land

Those zany Rabbids have occupied the Wii U, and i'ts not just a single Rabbid, it's a whole land. Ready to get your (board) game on? This is Ubisofts' Rabbids Land.

Those dang Rabbids are just so damn cute; Instant appeal, Lots of mini-games to try and enjoy, Fun for small gatherings in a "party" atmosphere, Fully playable on the Gamepad

Mini-game centric play makes this no fun for the solo gamer; Not all the mini-games are a hit; Too basic for long sittings.

Nintendo Land Wii U

Multiplayer madness; Good demo material for the tech; Bite-sized attractions; Novelty factor

Solo player offerings a tad uninspired; No online multiplayer games; Novelty factor soon wears off

Nintendo Land - Review

Perhaps Nintendo couldn't decide which of its much-loved franchises to launch Wii U with, because the answer it's come up with is "all of them". Sure, there's also your regulation Mario platformer in the form of New Super Mario Bros.

Beautifully executed Nintendo themes with all your favourite characters; A great variety of games that explore all the crazy possibilities of the Wii U's Game Pad; Compared to most mini-game compilations; it's amazingly polished and complete

Some games aren't up to the general standard (we're looking at you; Octopus Dance); The three competitive games are essentially pretty similar; All the explaining can get tedious and Monita gives us the creeps

Nintendo Land

Nintendo Land is reminiscent of another famous launch title called Wiisports in that it showcases the amazing innovative controls of the new Nintendo Wii U. Using just about every feature of the GamePad, Nintendo Land is a collection of awesomely good mini-games based on some highly popular titles...
