The Nintendo 3DS, with its ability to show glasses-free 3D images, is finally out! So almost awesome, so almost perfect!

The Nintendo 3DS is a fantastic piece of technology to own. The impact it's impressive 3D capabilities have on first viewing will live long in the memory. It really is one of those moments which will stand out as a defining one when reliving your gaming highlights.

The 3DS isn't a bad piece of hardware, although the included cradle is so flimsy that it shouldn't even exist. I do think that Nintendo should have shipped the handheld with the software we are all waiting for –– basically everything that wasn't available at launch.

Game & Watch, third-party licensing, Mode-7, Super Mario 64 , Game Boy, DS, Wii. The 3DS rightly deserves a place among the pantheon of iconic Nintendo innovations. Who better than the Grandmaster of Gaming to take us through our first tentative steps in the autostereoscopic realm.

At first glance, the Nintendo 3DS looks and feels a lot like a DSi. It has the same basic clamshell design, and aside from the slight difference in colors, looks nearly identical to my black DSi.

The 3DS is a slick and worthy successor to the DS, but I can't faithfully recommend it right now on account of its weak battery life, poor selection of launch games, and hefty $250 price tag. Launching without a Super Mario game was a mistake (my eyes turn to the GameCube).

I finally got my hands on this 3D gaming console. This is probably the only gaming console that does not require users to wear glasses when using the 3D mode. I am not a huge fan of the DS series as I already broke a DS Lite before. I find that this DS breaks very easily due to wear and tear.
