I really like this flash unit. The reason is simple: it is small and unobtrusive. If you need a small flash that is a lot more powerful than the on-camera flash on your compatible Nikon camera, this is a great flash.

I bought this Speedlight with the D5500 camera. I took my friend wedding and very happy with the results. A lot easier to use them as a pair when compare with my old film camera.
Thanks to Homeshop18 & JJ Mehta for delivering such a wonderful product in timely manner with proper packing and also followup call for product satisfactory.
Love how one gets natural lighting instead of the harsh, cold lighting from th pop up flash. I have yet to learn all the features as I just received it. Love it so far, but it is a bit heavy.
Durable; Easy To Use; Fast Recycling; Powerful Output
Bulky; Heavy
It is a great flash for advance amateur and professional use. I use it with my Nikon D7000 camera which produce crispy images. It is suitable for FX as well DX nikon cameras since it automatically detects FX / DX camera and take the necessary changes automatically.
Durable; Easy To Use; Lightweight; Reliable
What a difference a good flash makes! I used the onboard flash of my D3200 for a year or so, knowing it wasn't helping make decent lowlight pictures. Unfortunately I listened to some poor advice that "all electronic flash are the same" on a few of the forums. Now I know better.
I absolutely love this flash! It does what I need and beyond. I thought about ordering it from Best Buy, which is one of my other favorite stores, but I decided here because of the few dollars cheaper. The only complaint is that its a bit pricey, but the flash is really great!
Nikon SB-700 (16.2 oz./459g with 4-Ni-MH cells, measured GN 85'/26m at ISO 100, measured 2.3s recycling time, about $327 ). enlarge . I got mine at Adorama ; I'd also get it at Amazon or at B&H .
Full compatibility with most Nikon DSLRs and a couple of Coolpix cameras, but if you're shooting a film Nikon it needs to be an F6 to take full advantage of the flash's features.
Improved control interface; Compatibility; Good continuous ability
Lower guide number; Higher MSRP; Little compatibility with film SLRs
I was looking for a portable flash to use in my Nikon D7100. Excellent flash to create a better picture in different lighting conditions and develop different results. See http://www.dpreview.com for the full review and specifications.
Rotating head; three types of flash photography; accurate light measuring; multi-step auto zoom; automatically detects the lens focal length and adjusts the flash output accordingly for angles of view from 24mm to 120mm
