Nikon 85mm f/2.8D PC-E Micro Nikkor
Bought this in 2009 for tricky product macros. It is not the E version but then that is something that I don't need and I'm glad I have the can't go wrong version. The only downside in handling is that you can't shift and tilt in the same axis, unless you change that.
Pros:
- beautifully built, IQ amazing, very nice focus ring
- very flexible
Cons:
- can't tilt and shift independently
- only 1:2 Macro

Nice tilt-shift lenses
They don't tilt or swing as much as a large format camera, of course, but offer a nice alternative for the digital shooter of architecture and products.

Great for Panoramics
Have used this lens in conjuction with D800E documenting changes in a landfill for the last 7 years, stiching picture together up to 4 GB (consisting of over 40 individual photos at mulitiple levels). Easy to index, very sharp impages. Perspective control prevents distortion.
