For those who like view camera style flexibility
This is obviously a specialized lens, not something that the casual shooter would consider getting. That said, for some very interesting in-camera effects the tilt and shift become quite interesting.

This lens is one of the best made by nikon. stunning sharp, other pictorial results excellent as well. PC-E version is a bit lighter than older PC, but you cannot use PC-E mounted on any older body and any of extension rings, bellows without electric contacts cannot be used because of electronicaly...

Lovely lens
This may not be a lens you use daily, however it makes life so much easier if you are shooting product, especially if you, like me were brought up on large format 5x4 camera movements.

Easier than expected
I have used this lens for close focus flower work and some outdoor images of frost on leaves. In the week since it came I have found it to be easier to use than expected with my Nikon D800.

Nikon 85mm f/2.8D PC-E Micro Nikkor
Bought this in 2009 for tricky product macros. It is not the E version but then that is something that I don't need and I'm glad I have the can't go wrong version. The only downside in handling is that you can't shift and tilt in the same axis, unless you change that.
Pros:
- beautifully built, IQ amazing, very nice focus ring
- very flexible
Cons:
- can't tilt and shift independently
- only 1:2 Macro

Nice tilt-shift lenses
They don't tilt or swing as much as a large format camera, of course, but offer a nice alternative for the digital shooter of architecture and products.
