one of the best cheap lens out there
Got it with a D90 kit. this is probably one of the most satisfying kit lens in the market. It produce picture quality that isn't visually worse than any other expensive lens. VR works great and saved many of my pics.

Great Lens
Great Lens. To bad it's not the 18-200mm VR. but I think this lens might be a little more Sharp than the 18-200mm. Oh and it's Heavy, but again. Not nearly as heavy as the 18-200mm of course.
Pros:
- So far this has been a great lens
- I don't have the D90 yet but I wanted this lens
- as it completely replaces the standard 18-55mm lens
- This 18-105 is a great everyday use lens
- Very Sharp Photo's and works great.
- It's very fast, responsive
- and of course AF-S (Silent AF).
Cons:
- The Manual Focus Ring is very easy to turn
- I sometimes after the Camera AF's I accidentally hit it and it turns a little
- I'm still learning this lens and I'm sure soon it will be a Flawless and perfect user experience

Nikon 18-105mm f 3.5- f 5.6 V reduction Zoom lens
For anyone wanting a very decent lens with good optics as a starter lens I highly recommend this Nikon lens. I am a pro shooter and have used this lens for 4 years now and I am thoroughly pleased with the results I get.

Photos Come Alive with 105
My Nikon D500 kit came with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. This 18-105 lens is becoming my lens of choice- higher zoom than the 18-55 without the camera shake factor of the 55-200. (Don't get me wrong, the other lenses have their uses too.

I got mine as the kit lens with my D7000. All around I am very happy with the quality and sharpness of this lens. It covers a great range picture possibilities.

Quality versatile lens that offers superior performance to bundled lenses
Great zoom for everyday use. Nicely weighted. A little larger and heavier than bundled 18-55mm. Image quality appears significantly better than bundled lens.
