Great lens but expensive

Bought this lens for landscape, architecture and natural history habitat pictues. I use this lens on my Nikon D90 and love its ease of use. For people who are fed up not getting everything they want in the photo, this is the lens to use. Just be careful or you'll find your toes in the picture!

Easily Interchangeable; Lightweight; Quick Focus; Sharp Focus

Weak Casing

Extremely fun wide angle for DX

I was torn between the Nikon 12-24 and this lens for my DX ultra wide DX needs. I chose this lens due greater angle or frame coverage and I am glad I did. That extra 10 degrees of coverage is actually a lot! I also was convinced that this lens is sharper than its 12-24 brother.

Widest angle you can get (at this time) for DX; sharp; high contrast image rendering

Other than minor complaint about distortion at 10 to 15mm, I do not have any; But such is the case with all ultra wide lenses, it's just that this one has bit more distortion than most lenses

Great lens

The autofocus on my lens failed after only 4 months. To make it even worse it was during a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Yap Island. Nikon IS repairing it under warranty.

Easy To Use; Improves Picture Quality

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED review

Nikon's venerable 12-24mm ultrawide zoom has the benefit of a reasonably fast f/4 aperture that remains constant throughout the zoom range. By contrast, the newer 10-24mm lens has a variable f/3.5-4.5 maximum aperture but, crucially, it extends the zoom range where it matters most: at the wide-angle...

"This has immediately become my favourite lens of all time"

I've been taking pictures for an awfully long time, I got my first camera over 45 years ago, and used it at the 1970 Commonwealth Games – my shots were universally rubbish, but I was smitten.

Glorious wide open spaces

Less than ideal for portraits or sporting events; also expensive new

Good Quality and Value - Good Purchase

Very good quality optics. Good value. Decent build quality. Authentic product with warranty card included. Made in China. Received package had fair protection for the item. Excellent images, pretty sharp. Expect some distortion, especially around the 10mm end, but nothing that can't be fixed in PP.

Good little lens for its purpose. I have used it with a D7k for interiors and if you stay away from flare points and shoot with a little care, the CA is not too bad (manageable with software corrections). The range is great and is reminiscent of when I shot Canon with the 16-35. About as sharp too.

Range, usefulness for Architectural photography on a crop body; The focus is dead on (rare for this type of lens IMO)

CA; distortion (although I don't care too much as it's easily correctable)
