Cheapest mordern nikon full frame lens available that produces good image quality

I don't think its optical quality is as good as its new canon counterpart which is also much cheaper

The only flaw I can point at is the slight barrel distortion but at this price it still worth it. Its hardly noticeable unless you frame the edges with straight lines. The nikon 35mm 1.8g has been the worst at this but this one is almost not there.

This new prime lens has a very affordable price. The WDC review of the Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G discovers that its performance is impressive too

My experience is the same as the reviewer. I was hoping to use this lens for landscapes as well, but it requires a lot of stopping down. Fine in low light, though - bit of a marvel there.
