Lightweight and sharp

I have had this lens for a short time. I bought it for use with a D7200 body. But since my 70-200 lens is in for repair, I have been using this dx 70-300 on my D850. Have been getting surprisingly good results. Don't know how durable a plastic lens will be, but for the price it is worth the risk.

Lens doesn't work with older cameras

I was very excited when I got this lens as a multi lens and SLR package with a D7200. I wanted to use the zoom on my D7000, and my all purpose lens on my newer, faster camera body. I placed the lens on my D7000, and it did nothing. The lens will not communicate with the D7000.

Had to return the AF-P series camera due to my own error. It is not compatible with my daughter's Nikon D3200. Camera Camera had very simple process for the return by providing a UPS shipping label and as soon as it was recieved by them a refund was immediately made.

Firstly - I have only been taking photos a month. This is my first camera and this was the first lens I purchased for it (aside from the stock lens that came with it). I am using a D5300 and I am learning as much as I can whilst trying out equipment unfamiliar to me.

Its a very good lens for video capturing

Its a very good lens for video capturing. Auto focus is excellent. It focuses very quickly it here is adequate light. No noice during the focus. Only negative thing about the lens is it not fits comfortably on my Nikon D5300 DSLR compared to all other lenses I have.

Budget Lens Producing Premium Results

I took a very long time deciding to purchase this lens for my D3400 Nikon, my specific interest is wildlife (mostly fast moving flying birds and waterfowl) not people or sport use.

Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED DX VR AF-P Nikkor

I rented this only to see if it's time to retire my good, old 70-300 VR FX. Summary: Yes, I'm switching. I compared the two lenses on my D7200 and D7500s, taking hundreds of identical pictures and then placing best-of-three in each group side by side.

Very sharp; instant AF; amazing VR; priced right

Entry level construction and handling; some flare

Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR

The Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Lens is a great performer, especially when you consider the price. Currently, you can pick up the VR version for less than £300, while the non-VR version, which is otherwise the same, for less than £200.

A real "sleeper" lens!

I've been using this lens (non VR) for a month now and I'm amazed at it's clean images, fast and silent to focus, a light weight. I've shot static objects and fast movement and using ISO 800-1600 and almost always get a sharp/clean image. It will compete well with any zoom from Nikon.
