Good introduction
"Just bought my D3000 few days ago and did not have the oppertunity to take the workshop prior to the Air Show this past weekend. Now I have a better understanding of my camera far beyond the manual. Thanks to the instructor in giving a great lesson and look forward in future classes.

I bought this lens after looking at the 14mm and a few other options. I love this lens it gives you so many fun possibilities. I always carry it with me for just about a anything and everything use. The focus is fast the color and contrasts are good, super in low light.
Pros:
- Nice view with tack sharpness and fast focus
Cons:
- None that come to mind

A recyclable Nikkor -good thing, or bad
[...]. I still, now, would have preferred to have my much older, slower and bought secondhand original Nikkor.Optically, it is fine though comparisons with other lenses almost impossible as there's only two available and one simply doesn't buy a fisheye lens again.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Sharp Focus
Cons:
- Recyclabe
- Weak Casing

Great super-wide lens
I specifically bought this to get a super-wide angle of view that practically "swallows" the entire scene in front, and that's exactly what it does. The heavy distortion is part of the design, making this lens highly specialized and not for "general" use.
Pros:
- Super-wide view
- versatile for low light shooting
Cons:
- Older lens design - I'd argue it could be priced lower

Nikon 16mm f/2.8D AF Fisheye Nikkor review by andre_
I didn't like this lens on D2x. The definition is not enough for a print photo. But with my D700 the 16mm fisheye is fantastic! I don't see any cromatic aberration, nor flare (and the flare's critic in a lot of conditions), and the definition is high from f4.
Pros:
- no flare
- no CA
Cons:
- actually none
- only a little distorsion :-

Fantastic lens!
Overall, great lens. I don't do wide shots all that often, but when you need it, and can't step back any further, this lens is TOP notch. Even on a crop body, it would be recommended.
Pros:
- Goes really wide on a full frame 5D body
- Solid Construction
Cons:
- Minor vignetting at 16-18mm
- 82mm filter size
- yikes

Nikon 16mm f/2.8D AF Fisheye Nikkor
AF Fisheye-Nikkor 16mm f/2.8D All of my lens test/comparisons were performed on a Nikon D2x (reduced frame, 1.5x 12.2MP CMOS sensor). The camera was set to mirror lock-up, mounted on a tripod and fired with the MC-30 cable release.
Pros:
- I really like the modest fisheye FUNK this lens gives when mounted on a 1.5x sensor DSLR
Cons:
- I don't really have any Cons
