Great binos for the price
Very good view out of the binos, easy to adjust. Great all around binos for the price.

Light and bright
These binoculars are light to wear and give a good bright image. The eye cups screw out to allow adjustment for spectacle wearers and there is diopter correction. Focus is quick and easy to use. Image is pretty good with very slight colour fringing. For the money pretty good.

Not dependable
These binoculars are not waterproof. I used them for 2 months (they have a warranty of 25 years, one would think 2 months would not be a problem) and they started getting foggy inside of the lens.
Pros:
- cheap
Cons:
- Not waterproof
- not great optics
- not as cheap as they should be

Nikon Monarch Binocs are made well made, work great and dont break the bank
I was looking for a good birding Binocular and really wanted a Steiner Predator set, but settled on these for the better price. I did reviews from several sites for the best birding binoculars and the Nikon Monarch rated in the top ten on most sites.

Light Sturdy All Weather Binoculars
I purchased this camera for my wife for excursions to the beach and state parks to view wildlife, boat, and aircraft. It is perfect for beach conditions as it is waterproof, and fog proof. It is light so we can take it on hikes with us. The 8x magnification is perfect for our use.
Pros:
- Close Focus
- Lightweight
- Strong Construction

Compared to other top of the range binoculars, I would say that the Nikon EDG 10x42 binoculars are priced pretty well. If you take this into account with their excellent, class equalling but not class beating optical performance and their quality construction with all the features you would expect...

Nikon SE 10x42 CF
Cons: Admiring the classic look of a Swarovski Habicht 10x40 W we turned a blind eye to several slip-ups of that device and its average quality/price ratio. In the case of the Nikon SE we don't lose the classic look either - all those who like old, good Porro constructions will be as much enchanted...
Pros:
- solid construction
- handy and very comfortable to hold
- very high transmission
- excellent whiteness reproduction
- low chromatic aberration
- very low coma
- slight astigmatism
- sharp image practically up to the edge of the field of vision
- negligible light fall-off at the edge
- slight flares
- high...
