Amazing Dslr
I use this camera about every weekend and sometimes during the week and I LOVE IT. Of course if I had the money I would either get the 700 or the D3X (I upgraded to this from a Canon 20D).
Nikon D90 review Review
Like the D80 before it, the Nikon D90 delivers an excellent dSLR for the money. It's the first digital SLR camera with video recording, which is great, especially since it's shot in 1,280x720-pixel motion JPEG at 24fps, giving it a cinematic, high-definition look.- First-rate performance
- Solid
- well-constructed body with good viewfinder
- Video capture capability
- Great photo quality
- Middling kit lens
- Poor HDMI output implementation
Nikon D90
The D90 offers superb kit for the price; it also ably deals with high ISO image noise and is capable of stunning results.
Nikon D90 Review
We can easily recommend the D90 as a top-shelf 2008 D-SLR. Just don't expect it to be the ultimate two-in-one device.- Wonderful quality stills
- minimal noise at high ISOs: great burst mode
- excellent kit lens
- No AF in video mode
Nikon D90
Design If it takes you just a glance or two to tell the latest Nikon and Canon dSLR models apart from their predecessors, you know you're up there in the annals of camera geekdom. Measuring 132mm wide, 103mm tall and 77mm deep, the D90 is the same size as its forebear, the D80 , which remains on...- Brilliantly bright flash
- Great quality stills
- Solid body
- gorgeous screen
- It can take videos if you want
- No autofocus in camcorder mode
- Metering likes blown out highlights
Nikon D90
Budding shutterbugs looking into buying their first D-SLR are often surprised to discover that, despite the digital SLR's many admirable qualities, it lacks one feature that most simple point-and-shoot models these days have: the ability to shoot video.- Solid image quality
- Excellent color fidelity
- Low noise, even at high ISOs
- Shoots HD video
- Controls aren't very intuitive
- Relatively low still-image resolution
- Video features are limited
Nikon D90 review
All things considered, the Nikon D90 is a very capable camera. At its present asking price it offers fair value for the consumer interested in aiming their image-making sights higher.
Nikon D90
There are two ways to look at the Nikon D90. It is either a Nikon mid-range DSLR or a DSLR with movie recording capability. The good news is that, whichever way we look at it, this is an excellent DSLR.- Lower image noise than most competing DSLRs
- Fast except for live-view focusing
- Better than average dynamic range
- Reliable metering
- Limited movie mode in a DSLR
- Good ergonomics with comprehensive controls
- Top-notch LCD display
- Great Battery-Life
- Solid build quality
- In-camera RAW conversion
- Noticeable NR softness starting at ISO 800
- Poor white-balance under artificial light
- ISO only selectable in 1/3 stops
- Focus misses in low-light
- Auto ISO deep in menu
- remains active in M mode
- Some control oddities
