Nikon D810 DSLR Full Review

The Nikon D810 Digital SLR is a new 36.3 megapixel full-frame camera that replaces both the Nikon D800 and D800E and is introduced with a number of updates to make it, according to Nikon, the best Digital SLR Nikon has ever released. The D810 is available for £2699 body only.

Improved continuous shooting speed of 5fps; Improved video recording quality (full HD 60p; Improved image colour options (inc clarity setting; Auto shutter speed control for auto ISO (based on lens; Good noise performance up to ISO3200/6400; Excellent image quality; Weather-sealed body; USB3.0...

Higher price than the D800 when it was introduced; Needs the better / best lenses to get the best quality from the camera; Live view focus slow

Nikon D810 review

Landmark cameras come along every once in a while. In 2012 it was the super-high-resolution Nikon D800 that astounded us. We couldn't quite believe how much this 36.3-megapixel full-frame beast defied our initially doubtful expectations.

Huge images can offer epic quality; sturdy weather-sealed build; excellent autofocus system in single or continuous autofocus

Where's the 4K video?; single SD slot (single CF slot); slower shutter speed deficiencies are amplified due to resolution

Nikon D810 review

Nikon's D800 and D800E caused great excitement when they were first announced in February 2012 largely because of their groundbreaking 36 million pixel count. These two full-frame DSLR cameras are identical apart from the fact that the D800E's sensor has a weaker anti-aliasing (AA) or optical...

Nikon D810 review

The 36.3 megapixel D810 targets both pro photographers needing that maximum resolution for potentially huge enlargements, as well as aspirational advanced photographers who will appreciate a lower price point than the flagship Nikon D4S .

Rock solid construction; Heavyweight features; 36MP resolution sensor

Weight; Nose smudges on LCD

The D810 is an outstanding pro-level DSLR with the highest resolution on the market, extremely impressive autofocus capability, a long battery life, a fast processing engine, and a wide range of other features for both stills and video.

super excellence

"Coming from a D700, which shows zero noise in raw files up to around ISO 800, it's shocking to find that the D810 shows lots of noise from ISO 200. But, that noise is much smaller (grain size) so your details are still okay, and there's far finer detail with this awesome resolution.

Awescable for dorm living

Love this cable! Perfect for my Galaxy S6, which I run my life on. I'm in a dorm, so plugs are limited, and this long cable can reach my desk or bed, perfectly, even when the bed is lifted or bunked.
