I purchased this to replace a D7100, which I purchased because I was tired of waiting for the D400 (we now know as the D500) that never showed up. My main issues with the D7100 were it's buffer for high-speed bursts, and the ISO performance when pushing raw images in post processing.

The Nikon D7500 is a very versatile camera, just like its bigger sibling, and offers nearly the same levels of functionality and performance at a lower price. It's also a good upgrade from its predecessor, the D7200.
