Nikon D7200 review

Roughly two years have elapsed between the introduction of the Nikon D7100 and the arrival of its successor, and on the surface the new D7200 seems more like an incremental update than a major overhaul.

Nikon D7200 review: Enhancing the enthusiast DSLR

As the camera market continues to evolve, the Nikon D7200 wedges itself firmly in the traditional DSLR camp. It's shunned featuring a vari-angle screen like its Canon competitors, such as the 70D or 760D, but does include Wi-Fi and NFC for sharing pictures via a smart device.

Great image quality; no high-ISO banding as per D7100 sensor; extensive battery life per charge; 100 per cent field-of-view viewfinder; larger buffer for burst mode

Still lacks vari-angle LCD screen; limited update over D7100 predecessor

Nikon D7200 DSLR Review

Features Handling Performance Verdict Specification The Nikon D7200 updates the D7100 , and has a 24.1 megapixel APS-C DX sized sensor without the optical low pass filter (OLPF or AA Filter) - this should enable sharp, detailed images, and the camera offers 6fps continuous shooting, 51 focus points,...

24.1 megapixel sensor without OLPF; Weather sealed magnesium alloy body; Excellent image quality and detail; Very good noise performance; 51 focus points; 2 year warranty; Fast performance; Built in HDR; Built in Wi-Fi / NFC; Dual card slots; Improved battery life

Distortion with 18-105mm VR kit lens; FPS hasn't increased since D7000; Limited Wi-Fi app; very few options

Nikon D7200

Nikon's new D7200 is aimed at enthusiast photographers, and sits in the middle of the company's line-up. It features a 24.2 million pixel APS-C sized (DX format) CMOS sensor. Arguably it's Nikon's best offering for enthusiasts as Nikon has yet to replace the D300S, which technically sits at the top...

D7200

The Nikon D7000 range which replaced the D90 I would highly recommend. They are really well build (weather sealed) and are great value in the APS-C size sensor. The D7200 is the latest one in the series has Expeed4 processor and ISO boost.

Nikon D7200 Review

Nikon's D7200 is a dynamite machine and a pleasure to shoot. It's nimble, responsive and has good ergonomics. The D7200 sensor is a terrific performer. If DX sensors get much better could FX and those heavy FX lenses be in danger?

Nikon D7200 DSLR Camera with 18-140mm Lens VBK450SLK review

I purchased a D3300 for my girlfriend for her birthday. I purchased a D7100 used for myself after seeing the quality of her pictures. I was impressed with the features of the 7100 and am a rookie so there was a medium learning curve.

few extra features like nef and onboard wifi along with the extra exposure stop

none

D7200 Kit upgrade from D5200 Kit

I've had the Kit for nearly a month and have taken 1100 pictures, mostly birds, flowers and bugs in the garden. It does a very nice job. This is an upgrade from the D5200 I purchased early after its release. The new camera cost nearly twice much as the old one but isn't double the camera.

Wow what a camera

I tried ordering from newegg after they called me at home. We placed the order and then it was cancelled because they couldn't verify the card. Funny thing is I called the card company and they said they showed the charge pending.

Considering the size it is fairly light; Pic quality is great compared to my last DSLR and I thought it was pretty hot; This camera was over 1k less expensive and 4X the pixels

I haven't found any yet
