So there are a few extra things we would have liked to have seen here. On balance, though, we think that the Nikon D7100 is a very nice camera that's enjoyable and rewarding to use.

Nikon D7100 review
The traditional looking 24.1 megapixel 'DX format' flagship D7100 offers up some pro-like specifications with a handling experience somewhere between consumer model and one costing three or four times the price.
Pros:
- Weather resistant build
- Top plate LCD window
- 51 auto focus points
Cons:
- Non vari-angle LCD
- Expensive
- No great jump in detail

Nikon D7100
The Nikon D7100 is an update of the now three-year old Nikon D7000 . Although the D7000 arrived at a time when many weren't expecting it, as Nikon had the enthusiast DSLR market relatively well catered for with the D90 and D300/D300S, it proved incredibly popular with its match of features and form.
Pros:
- Excellent LCD screen
- Reliable and accurate auto white balance
- Handles well
Cons:
- Locking buttons are fiddly
- Slow processing times
- Burst mode only so-so

Nikon D7100
The D7100 is the long awaited upgrade to the two and a half year old D7000, a camera that didnt seem like much of a change from the D90. Given that the D90 is a camera that people look for even today, Nikon really had its hands full when it came to making a true, legitimate update to the series.
Pros:
- Solid build
- 51-point AF system with wide coverage
- Central AF point sensitive up to f/8
Cons:
- Small buffer for RAW images
- No HDR exposure for RAW images

Very Good DX alternative
I bought this camera as a stop gap for my D800 when it got completely mashed in an accident. To my surprise it performs very well and is a cracking little package with the new 24MP expeed processor.

It is less expensive as compared to the full frame D800 and D600, but is very competitive in terms of features, handling and performance.
Pros:
- ISO performance
- 6 fps burst rate(7 fps in 1.3x crop mode)
- 51-point autofocus system
- 100% viewfinder coverage
Cons:
- Slow AF in live view and video modes
- no aperture control in video mode

It's Almost Perfect, can't really fault this at all !
After using Nikon for the past +>25 years and having owned 6 of their best in that time, including recently the D90. This surpasses all before it. High praise that is well deserved. Very Happy with it. It's Almost Perfect, can't really fault this at all !
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Compact
- Build quality
- Screen size
Cons:
- Battery life

Great camera bt got some cons BEWARE !
This camera is great for taking photos but 1. Lacks a articulating touch screen which is present in its rival model of canon 2. Lacks large buffer capacity. 3. The autofocus is not so great.sometimes the pictures may be out of focus while shooting wildlife or birds in flight.

Awesome camera
Ihave used the D7100 for a year now and I still love getting it out and use it. I use the crop factor )1.3x) quite often with my zoom lens. I don't think i have used even 10% of its power yet! More good times to come
