Nikon D7100 Body Only - 24.1 MP, SLR Camera, Black
Wanted an update to older bodies D50, D300 and D700, I use the D50 mainly for technical work but its coming to the end of its life now while the other bodies I use for personal work. I wanted an update for the D50 and this model appears to fit the bit very well.
Pros:
- Price, compatable with Nikon Capture NX2 for editing RAW pictures where D7200 is not
- Cheaper than the D50 I bought 10 year ago
Cons:
- compatability with my software influenced my choice

Nikon D7100 review
The Nikon D7100 has now been superseded by the newer D7200 , but it's still on sale and it's anywhere from 15-30% cheaper, depending on where you shop. For the price of a Nikon D7200 body, you can get a D7100 and 18-105mm kit lens.

Great camera
This is one of the best mid-range camera you can buy today. You might want to add a bit more $ for the 7200, but for my needs I decided to save some money and take the great deal on the 7100. Excellent camera! Excellent price!

nikon D7100 DSLR, GREAT camera
I love this camera. I purchased it to shoot bird's and wildlife. It's fast and the auto focus is excellent. Sometimes I take pics of random items simply because I love to use it and I have no wildlife handy. I have absolutely no complaints yet and don't expect to have any.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization
- High ISO Performance
- Large Clear LCD
- Quiet

Regular readers will know that we're great fans of Nikon's D600 here at Camera magazine. It remains a hard-to-beat package in terms of its 35mm-sized sensor, durable construction, a lengthy list of high-end features, sheer usability and an attractive price tag.

- Excellent image quality
- High resolution sensor
- Vast array of controls
- Comfortable use
- Excellent autofocus
- High speed performance
Cons:
- Locking mechanism on mode wheel
- Audible autofocus motor in video

Great camera but...
I originally purchased this camera to "upgrade" from my D90 which I thought the D7100 would address. My D7100 took amazing photos, great focusing speed, and once again great photos.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
Cons:
- Buffer size
- Fps

Awesome camera
Ihave used the D7100 for a year now and I still love getting it out and use it. I use the crop factor )1.3x) quite often with my zoom lens. I don't think i have used even 10% of its power yet! More good times to come

Nikon D7100 24.7MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-140mm and 55-300mm Lenses
I used a D7000 for personal and travel photography ( I am a professional photographer) and recently upgraded to the D7100 which is even better. Stereo sound for HD video and the EXSpeed processor which used to only be in the pro lines of Nikon.
