Nikon D7100
The Nikon D7100 is the company's new flagship APS-C DSLR that occupies a sweet spot in Nikon's lineup by providing a ton of advanced photographic capabilities at a reasonably affordable price point.
Pros:
- Excellent build quality
- feels like a professional model DSLR
- though slightly smaller than others in its class
- Comfortable grip provides secure fit in hand

EUROPEAN CAMERA
The D7100 is the current flagship of Nikon's DX camera family, combining excellent image quality and advanced features. Its APS-C sensor is designed without an optical low-pass filter, which allows us to take full advantage of its 24-million-pixel resolution with no loss of sharpness.

It's a rocky, dusty trail, and your hamstrings are burning as you snake your way up that incline. Nobody said that hiking Yosemite would be this damned hard. You weave your way through the brush and make your way into a clearing in the flora – only to stop in your tracks as you behold the most...
Pros:
- seriously solid construction
- crisp image quality with especially good low light photo capability
Cons:
- tends to weigh down over prolonged use

[REVIEW-NIKON D7100 DSLR]
The D7100 is an upgrade of the fine D7000, increasing the pixel count to 24mp; improving the size and resolution of the LCD and, amongst other refinements, removing the optical low pass filter to increase image sharpness. ( for an explanation of the OLPF). The auto-focus system has been upgraded.

Camera review: Nikon D7100 DSLR
During the past 10 years we have owned more cameras than any sensible person needs. Picking up any Nikon is a reminder of how well the company crafts its cameras. One feature, the easily accessible bracketing button alongside the lens, is so obviously useful that you ask why other manufacturers...
Pros:
- One look through the brilliant mirror-prism viewfinder is an instant reminder of what we love about the single-lens reflex form
- Nikon continues to lead the pack in camera ergonomics, with every important control accessible from the camera body
Cons:
- The movie mode is still clunky and video quality is not brilliant

Nikon D7100 Review
An attractive camera, aimed at the enthusiast, the Nikon D7100 follows on from the well-regarded D7000 which, I noted in my DPS review at the time, was described as a ‘professional-standard' camera, not a professional one!
