Nikon D7000 Review
Nikon built the D7000 using a partial magnesium shell (top and bottom) with dust and weather seals. It feels slightly less balanced in the hand than Canon's D60, but this is a minor inconvenience that most shooters won't notice.
Pros:
- 39 focus points
- impressive low-light performance
- dual SD slots
Cons:
- Mode dial moves too easily
- could be better balanced

Nikon D7000 review
The Nikon D7000 is a digital SLR camera aimed at enthusiastic amateur and hobbyist photographers. It has some features that would otherwise only be found on professional-level cameras, and it delivers very impressive image quality.

Great product
It was a while waiting but Nikon finally got a lot of things right in the D7000. For previous D90 users they layout is very similar and they will feel comfortable immediately. It is less than half the price of the iconic D700 and has many of its features.

Fantastic service & quick delivery
Great camera, at a fantastic price. Wonderful customer service is certainly an added bonus. Not something you expect at a price like this, makes you certainly want to buy more :-)

Nikon D7000
Compared to the entry-level Nikon D3200, you'll get more manual controls and custom settings on the D7000 such as bracketing exposure, white balance and flash; built-in flash commander mode; and a Function button you can set to access your favorite controls fast.
Pros:
- Great image quality
- even in low light
- Dual memory-card slots
- Weather-sealed
- partly metal shell
Cons:
- Some blown highlights in tests
- Limited features in Live View
- Focusing noise shows up on movies
- Controls are awkward for some

Well built camera
Really fun camera.
Pros:
- Amazing features and performance for this class of camera
- Bought this from Newegg and have owned my D7K for just under 1 year
- Dual card slots, aux LCD on top, reasonable low ISO performance, advanced AF, very long battery life, and just too many other things to list
Cons:
- Accessories are still expensive
- Over the last couple of months dark spots have developed on the image sensor that are not easily cleanable
- Pictures shot at F11 or smaller aperature show these spots

A very good camera, 10 points, it can not because then you can of course not be better. Have shot with the camera since April 2011, previously had a D80. The difference in the dynamic range of the D80 is very large, perhaps up to 2 stages. Autofocus is fast and usually accurate but not always.

Bought the D7000 with extras (lens, grip extra battery, extras) Just moved away from shooting Sony for about 6 years. I wanted a system that I could build with felt like Nikon is it. SO far I have not been disappointed.
Pros:
- Image quality
- Custom settings - manual focus lens (non chipped lenses can be registered (up to 10
- Flash control
- Movie mode is very good
- the auto focus in movie mode is good not great
- Movie quality is very good
Cons:
- I do prefer CF cards over SD
- not to much to consider a weakness

While View NX2 is an improvement on Nikon's earlier software options it doesn't really offer the enthusiast enough control and many will be eagerly awaiting Adobe's Camera Raw update to allow greater control over noise reduction, especially at the lower sensitivity settings.
