Nikon D7000 review
As it has 16.2 million pixels on its CMOS sensor the Nikon D7000 has a higher resolution than all other Nikon APS-C (DX) format DSLRs. In fact, it is only trumped in this respect by the top-end Nikon D3X , which has 24.5 million pixels on its full-frame (FX) sensor.

Nikon D7000 Review
Generally, digital camera producers usually adhere to a well-defined upgrade direction and it is usually obvious which style is intended to be changed by a new one. With the statement of the D7000 Nikon has - to a stage - damaged with this style.

This camera and the accessories included are great! Soon after purchasing this camera, my wife and I went on a trip to LOS ANGELES and got MANY excellent pictures!

The Nikon D7000 had a design flaw. It frequently had oil splatter that was visible starting at F/5.6 and came back about 2,000 photos taken after a thorough sensor cleaning. It's performance was okay given its age, but the oil platter became very distracting.

Nikon D7000
The Nikon D7000 is a new prosumer DSLR camera with a 16.2-megapixel DX-format image sensor. Key highlights of the D7000 include Full 1080p HD video with full-time autofocus and manual exposure control, an ISO range of 100-25600, the widest of any Nikon DX camera, a new 2,016-pixel 3D Colour Matrix...

[REVIEW-NIKON D7000 DSLR]
This 16 megapixel DSLR sits above the D90 in Nikon's line-up. The rugged magnesium alloy body shell, previously only a feature of Nikon's professional cameras, houses a 100% viewfinder, two SD card slots (for double capacity or for recording jpeg on one and RAW on the other), a high resolution 7.5cm...
Pros:
- The image quality is what we have come to expect, brilliant even up in the high ISO range
- In some ways we regard this as a better camera than our more expensive D300
- The Active D-Lighting really does help preserve the detail in shadows and highlights
Cons:
- The D7000 only has a three exposure auto bracket which is mean compared with the nine exposure set of the D300
- Presumably this is a firmware function that could be easily and cheaply changed

From the ISO chart comparison, we noticed slight softening and significant visible noise from ISO 1600 onwards. Given the DX format CMOS sensor, this is rather impressive. At extended ranges (ISO H.03 – H2.0), noise are extremely noticeable at full resolution. Is the Nikon D7000 worth getting

Looking at the new Nikon D7000's specs, you might be right to confuse the newest DX DSLR as a replacement for the Nikon D300s at first blush. After all, it features many of the same specs, as well as some new features and flat-out improvements to Nikon's DX line of cameras.
