Nikon D610: Barely different but still brilliant, this replaces the D600 as our Best Buy full-frame SLR

This camera was reasonably priced and is everything I want in a camera.

Great camera have been using it for a few days now and I am really impressed with it. I used to have a d7000 and this was the right step for me, I got this body and a tamron 24-70 2.8 lens it might not be for everyone due to the weight but for me I can't wait to get out and about with this thing.

This is an excellent camera, arguably offering more bang-for-your-buck than any other full-frame DSLR. It doesn't have the image resolution of the D800, but it has more manageable file sizes, a faster shooting speed and two custom user modes.

This 24 megapixel full frame DSLR has a couple of improvements on the D600 released last year. Burst mode speed is increased from 5.5 to 6 frames per second; auto white balance has been tweaked and a Quiet Shutter Continuous mode (which is not all that quiet) has been added.

The D610 is my favorite Nikon DSLR. It's the same thing as last year's D600, which was also my favorite. The D610 has the optimum resolution for FX. The D800 has too many pixels which clogs my hard drives, slows my workflow, and the D800 can't shoot as fast for the same reason.

The D610 replaces the year-old D600 as Nikon's ‘affordable' full-frame DSLR. Positioned between the mid-range D7100 and full-frame D800, it's aimed at upgraders from mid-range APS-C models and those looking for an economically priced full-frame back-up.
