Nikon D610 review

Nikon D610: Barely different but still brilliant, this replaces the D600 as our Best Buy full-frame SLR

Awesome

Great camera have been using it for a few days now and I am really impressed with it. I used to have a d7000 and this was the right step for me, I got this body and a tamron 24-70 2.8 lens it might not be for everyone due to the weight but for me I can't wait to get out and about with this thing.

The Nikon D610 is their most affordable and compact full-frame (FX-format) camera. Both image quality and overall performance are excellent, and the video capabilities outperform most dSLRs on the market. Read more in our Full Conclusion .

iAuto shooting mode is accurate and easy in all situations; Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record; Overall performance is incredibly fast; Amazing image quality at lower ISO settings; Higher ISO settings do produce a lot of noise; but are all good for each setting when compare to...

Not really a new camera model; more of a fix for the D600 issues; Highest ISO settings are over the top with image noise; Fixed screen; not movable to help in awkward shooting situations; No built-in WiFi

This is an excellent camera, arguably offering more bang-for-your-buck than any other full-frame DSLR. It doesn't have the image resolution of the D800, but it has more manageable file sizes, a faster shooting speed and two custom user modes.

[REVIEW-NIKON D610 DSLR]

This 24 megapixel full frame DSLR has a couple of improvements on the D600 released last year. Burst mode speed is increased from 5.5 to 6 frames per second; auto white balance has been tweaked and a Quiet Shutter Continuous mode (which is not all that quiet) has been added.

Nikon has a rich history in producing ultimate cameras that defined photography of the era. Its entry in the full-frame sensor camera market has been late but very fulfilling. Nikon full frame sensor cameras use the same f-mount, a legacy that the company has been proud of using in every camera they...

Brilliant image quality; Fast controls; Weather proof; Backlit control panel screen; Dual memory slots

Nikon D610 Review

The D610 is my favorite Nikon DSLR. It's the same thing as last year's D600, which was also my favorite. The D610 has the optimum resolution for FX. The D800 has too many pixels which clogs my hard drives, slows my workflow, and the D800 can't shoot as fast for the same reason.

Nikon D610 review

The D610 replaces the year-old D600 as Nikon's ‘affordable' full-frame DSLR. Positioned between the mid-range D7100 and full-frame D800, it's aimed at upgraders from mid-range APS-C models and those looking for an economically priced full-frame back-up.

24.3 Megapixel FX CMOS sensor; 39-point AF with 9 cross-type sensors; 6fps full-frame continuous shooting; Compatible with DX lenses; 1080p30 and uncompressed HDMI out; Built-in AF motor for non AF-S lenses; Sensor contamination fixed (anecdotal)

Resolution drops to 10.5 MPix with DX lenses; No exposure control during movie recording; Bracketing limited to 3 frames; Wifi and GPS are separate accessories
