Smartphone cameras are amazing, for what they are. So are many of the compact digital cameras, especially the super-zooms from Canon and Nikon. But I grew up when film was "it", and I missed the versatility and expandability of single-lens reflexes.
Nikon D5600 is an entry-level DSLR camera that builds upon the D5500 model. It mainly adds connectivity using the SnapBridge app and easy sharing using Nikon's cloud service Image Space. The frame advance bar for easier photo viewing, which is currently only available in pricier models, is also a new addition that will appeal to a lot of consumers.
The 24.2 MP resolution produces crisp photos. The auto-focus system contains 39 focus points and ensures fast and accurate focus on the target object.

On balance, I like the Nikon D5600, especially for its target audience. It meets my expectations for what a modern entry-level DSLR should do, and it is hard to deny that the D5600's image quality is anything short of excellent.
I hadn't bought a new DSLR since my D70s in 2004, so it took me awhile to decide which camera I wanted to buy. For several months I debated between the D7500 and this D5600. I wasn't sure about whether I'd like how menu driven the D5600 seemed to be compared to the D7500.
Phoned up to buy a new flash gun and ended up with D5600 as well. Have had a D3100 for many years and decided that it was time for an upgrade. Great advice on the phone and very pleased with my new camera
Good Battery Life; Good Sized Screen; Great Resolution; Nice Features and Settings
Only had a month, have not explored all the features. So far nice sharp images even in poor light. Good Value. Lighter weight than I expected and a little smaller than my previous Sony Alpha DSLR. Closeup auto focusing is a little funky.
I bought this camera as a replacement for an older cheaper camera. This camera takes pictures so much better than the replacement that there is no comparison. With the two lenses kit package, you get a 70-300 mm lens also. This is a great camera.
The camera is good and the features and quality of pictures and videos are good at the price. I've been using this camera for a while and I'm quite satisfied with the purchase.
Easy to handle and well balanced even with 18-140mm lens
Really hard and tedious connecting to wifi ; not much useful support from Nikon
Love the camera and lenses but the case is too small for everything. The 2 extra batteries that comes are not compatible with the Nikon D5600.
Great camera with lots of options. Only thing that was disappointing it didn't come with a manual like my last Nikon.
