Nikon D5300

The Nikon D5300 offers sharp details that are hard to beat. One of the driving forces behind superior image quality is the newly developed cutting-edge Nikon DX-format CMOS image sensor. This camera offers amazing images that will help preserve your most cherished memories.

One feature is that the image sensor unit does not integrate an optical low-pass filter (OLPF). This camera enhances the NIKKOR lenses'outstanding performance thanks to its improved technology.

With this camera, you get 24.2 megapixels. It comes with the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine that produces pictures in exquisite color. This one of the kind systems offers lightning-fast speeds to produce images of exceptional quality. Plus, there is less noise. Nikon's unique technology helps the camera produce an ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 12800. On top of that, the camera produces exceptional color reproduction at all sensitivity ranges.

At high ISO settings, you get improved noise-reduction. EXPEED 4 processes data at high speeds, and as a result you experience uninterrupted shooting. It also does an excellent job of taking photos when there is not a lot of light.

The Nikon D5300 can record video in full HD. It produces smooth, fluid recordings. Try out the image sensor that offers 24.2 effective megapixels. Additionally, there is an authentic D-SLR design, which is easy to grip. This makes shooting a lot easier.

Another feature of the Nikon D5300 is high audio quality. It features an outstanding microphone that is easy to control. Audio levels are easy to check with the 16 x 9 LCD monitor both before and during video shooting.

The NAL-1 Zoom is powerful. This attachment provides improved zoom. It is perfect for recording movies and for using manual focus.

On top of the built-in microphone, one can record stereo sound using the ME-1 Stereo Microphone. This microphone helps to lower noise. Users can choose the microphone sensitivity setting just like they do with the built-in stereo microphone.

This camera is a powerful tool. It offers professional grade photos and can be used to record videos. Capture all of life's important moments with the Nikon D5300.

Nikon D5300 review: A camera with a fantastic sensor

it has been a few years since we first reviewed the Nikon D5300, where it's still a perfectly capable device, even if Nikon's rivals have been battling it out. Since launch, Nikon released the D5500 (not long after the D5300's launch mind you) with its superb sensor yet disappointing kit lens and...

Nikon D5300 review

When the Nikon D5300 was launched in October, Nikon was keen to stress that it was not a replacement for the Nikon D5200 or D5100. Rather, it was a continuation of the D5000 series, so neither the D5200 nor the D5100 would be discontinued.

Eleven months have passed between Nikon releasing their mid-entry-level D5200 and its replacement, the D5300. It might not sound like a long time, but the march of technological advancement means this latest release offers measurable improvements on the spec sheet.

Great value/technology, lightweight body

Bought to replace my D90 on hikes and holidays; the lighter weight body, GPS, and the large mobile viewing screen are really useful. Quality is very good and the resolution is outstanding.

Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls

Superb entry level camera with telephoto kit lens

Having gone from SLR (Minolta) to Bridge (Nikon) I felt it was time to move to something more challenging. The D5300 has much to offer, and is an accomplished camera in the hands of a novice (staying within the Auto options) as it is in more skilled hands using more of the superb scene and...

Great camera

This is a great camera for a novice like me . I use the auto mode a lot whilst learning all the other settings this camera has. Sadly has no internal memory so mind your memory card. Would gladly give this 5 stars and highly recommend.
