Nikon D5200 Review

Nikon's D5200 sits in the middle of the most current triumvirate of Nikon cropped sensor DSLRs - the D3200, 5200 and 7100. Its MSRP is $100 more than the D3200 but it offers an articulating 3 inch monitor, an extra frame per second in its high-speed continuous shooting mode and a more advanced...

Good still and video image quality; Light and compact; Competitive high ISO performance; 5 fps continuous shooting speed; Capable autofocus system

Minimal external controls for adjusting camera settings; Lacks weather sealing of some direct competitors; 95% coverage of viewfinder makes accurate framing a bit problematic

Nikon digital camera clicks awsome pictures

I always prefer using the Canon when it comes about camera but I was highly impressed with all the features of the new Nikon D5200. I ordered it right away without any delay. The 24.1 mp can take lovely pictures and the camera also supports various picture formats and the lens of the camera can be...

A good camera for the price

All in all I am very satisfied with my new camera that I upgraded from the 3100. I love the 39 focus points and all of the different scene options available. The 5 fps is extremely fast enough for me. I also love the stereo microphone built-in on the front for recording video.

I love the quality and speed plus the flip out screen

Most of the buttons are too close together and hard to find sometimes also the memory card door opens while holding the camera

Okay replacement

This product is exactly what youre buying, a cheap replacement for your eye piece for your camera. Its a great replacement dont get me wrong, theres just less padding and I?t feels weaker than the one Nikon makes.

I purchased the EP-5A to go with my D5300. I use the D5300 for astrophotography and the EP-5A allows me to use AC power instead of batteries. I already had the required EH-5 AC adapter.

Nikon d520

Just what I was looking for. A move up from my old camera with the ability to input settings or go fully automatic.

Light weight; quality pictures; takes very good video

Cost including lens

Love it, super light, awesome pics/video

Love the camera. So much lighter than I thought it was going to be. Everything is laid out well and makes sense. Comes with great manual. Awesome to have the different effects like color choice which is awesomely flexable (choose up to 3 different colors and then the intensity of the color).

Easy To Use; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Tilt /Swivel LCD

Poor Image Stabilization

The basics Nikon's a big name in the camera world, and we've got the company's D5200 DSLR armed with a massive 24.1-megapixel sensor to put through its paces. It's a capable shooter, complete with full HD video skills and superb image quality, but does its fiddly controls get in the way?

Great camera

I got this as a step up from the D3100. With a larger sensor and twice as many mega pixels the image quality has improved from the already excellent D3100. With a 5 fps shutter and a flip-out screen, action photography and photography in awkward places has never been easier.

Consequently, the compact D5200 packs some ‘big camera' specs, giving it broad appeal from entry-level to enthusiast. Converts are probably also going to like the colour of our test camera, which is a metallic-look red finish that's actually very classy in a similar way to the Pentax K-30's blue.
