Nikon D5200 Review
The under-$1,000 Nikon D5200 is a capable D-SLR that delivers impressive image quality and continuous shooting at 4 frames per second, earning it our Editors' Choice. The D5200 ($799.95 direct, body only) is Nikon's mid-level consumer D-SLR camera, offering more features and control than the entry-level D3200, but not quite rivaling the more expensive D7100. It's an impressive performer, shooting continuously at 4 frames per second and delivering clean 24-megapixel images through ISO 3200. It's not the without its drawbacks—the viewfinder isn't as large or bright as in some other SLRs, and it doesn't offer full compatibility with older Nikon lenses. But it's certainly good enough to displace its predecessor, the D5100 as our Editors' Choice for digital SLRs priced less than $1,000. Design and Features The D5200($748.00 at Amazon) is rather compact for a D-SLR, but manages to squeeze quite a few controls into its small body. It measures 3.9 by 5.1 by 3.1 inches and weighs 1.1 pounds without a lens. The Pentax K-30($693.00 at Amazon) is just about the same size, varying by a tenth of an inch at most, but is heavier at 1.4 pounds. The extra weigh...

Nikon digital camera clicks awsome pictures
I always prefer using the Canon when it comes about camera but I was highly impressed with all the features of the new Nikon D5200. I ordered it right away without any delay. Nikon D5200
Nikon's a big name in the camera world, and we've got the company's D5200 DSLR armed with a massive 24.1-megapixel sensor to put through its paces. It's a capable shooter, complete with full HD video skills and superb image quality, but does its fiddly controls get in the way?

Nikon D5200 review: A camera that can keep up with the kids
The Nikon D5200 makes a great choice for family and vacation photographers. The Nikon D5100 is a solid camera with excellent photo and video quality, but relatively sluggish performance tarnishes its allure for me. Nikon fixes that in the D5200 with the same new autofocus and metering systems that debuted in the D600, plus an updated higher-end viewfinder, and the result is a noticeably better shooting experience that makes it an excellent choice for all-around family and vacation photography.
Pros:
- With excellent photo and video quality for its class
- a fluid shooting design and solid feature set
- the Nikon D5200 delivers a lot for the money.
Cons:
- Though it has no significant flaws
- the lack of an autofocus motor in the body limits your lens-selection flexibility.

First DSLR
It's a fun investment in memory saving and money saving by buying refurbished. The 90 day warranty is a little short for my likes but the camera is perfectly fine, no scratches, no dents, no dings. The lens is great, the battery charged perfectly.
Pros:
- Working with a JVC Pro HD video camera for work all day I needed something to capture all of these events for myself plus a little fun on the side
- This camera offers all of the fun features like color selection and miniature mode that folks always seem to want but the main thing I enjoy is the...
Cons:
- The menu options and being able to change everything does take some getting used to but it's only a matter of time until you master it
- Video recording picks up on the noise from zooming, didn't hear any focusing servo noise, just zooming in and out.

Nikon D5200 SLR Black Body Only
I purchased this Nikon D5200 24.1 MP body only about 4 months ago. I have taken some college photography classes so I would recommend this camera for someone who is semi-pro or at least with some experience.
Pros:
- Lots of features
- beautiful display screen
Cons:
- Too many features for someone without knowledge of photography

Great camera
I got this as a step up from the D3100. With a larger sensor and twice as many mega pixels the image quality has improved from the already excellent D3100. With a 5 fps shutter and a flip-out screen, action photography and photography in awkward places has never been easier.
