The basics Nikon's a big name in the camera world, and we've got the company's D5200 DSLR armed with a massive 24.1-megapixel sensor to put through its paces. It's a capable shooter, complete with full HD video skills and superb image quality, but does its fiddly controls get in the way?

Great camera
I got this as a step up from the D3100. With a larger sensor and twice as many mega pixels the image quality has improved from the already excellent D3100. With a 5 fps shutter and a flip-out screen, action photography and photography in awkward places has never been easier.

Big Blast In Small Package
This one is a big value for money. Super features, great image quality, portable and easy to use. Got this baby some time back and I must say that it has stellar image quality. Lot of my clicks were greatly appreciated by friends and even by those who didn't know me. All in all I'm a happy customer.

Nikon D5200 review
Like the Nikon D5300 that replaces it, the Nikon D3300 below it in the Nikon SLR range and the Nikon D7100 above it, the D5200 has a CMOS sensor with 24 million pixels. However, some may be surprised to learn that Nikon doesn't use exactly the same sensor in these camera.

Buy Buy Buy
After using another well branded camera I decided to down grade to the Nikon D5200, I have found this camera to be excellent for the price and also it would easy to use for any new photographer.

Excellent for beginners and experienced hobbyists!
I recently bought this camera in a Christmas sale and I have been playing around with the settings. I upgraded from a Nikon S8100 point and shoot, and I am having no trouble whatsoever working out how to use it.

Nikon D5200 SLR Black Body Only
I purchased this Nikon D5200 24.1 MP body only about 4 months ago. I have taken some college photography classes so I would recommend this camera for someone who is semi-pro or at least with some experience.
Pros:
- Lots of features
- beautiful display screen
Cons:
- Too many features for someone without knowledge of photography

First DSLR
It's a fun investment in memory saving and money saving by buying refurbished. The 90 day warranty is a little short for my likes but the camera is perfectly fine, no scratches, no dents, no dings. The lens is great, the battery charged perfectly.
Pros:
- Working with a JVC Pro HD video camera for work all day I needed something to capture all of these events for myself plus a little fun on the side
- This camera offers all of the fun features like color selection and miniature mode that folks always seem to want but the main thing I enjoy is the...
Cons:
- The menu options and being able to change everything does take some getting used to but it's only a matter of time until you master it
- Video recording picks up on the noise from zooming, didn't hear any focusing servo noise, just zooming in and out.
