I bought this camera for a digital photography class, it does everything I need and then some. I purchased the camera as a refurbished product, when I opened it it looked like new and i have not ran into any problems with it so far.

This is my first DSLR ,still learning Photography skills .But so far it is quite nice and lovely .The picture quality is awesome and it has easy setup .

I bought this camera for product photography mainly. I have spent a few hours practicing taken photos & so far I am pleased with the results. the images are clear & very sharp - the colour representation is true to the actual product, & this is with the 18-55 kit lens.

This is a great camera loaded with some great features. I have to admit I used the camera mainly for video recording (Ill get into that later), but every aspect is great. My Experience With it Video I saved up my money and bought this thing as an upgrade for my current equipment.

I like more the way that LCD articulates in D5000, allowing more angles of photo; also, D5100 has no grid to align my pictures... but this camera is a great camera.

- Camera looks good, ticks the box in terms of style, strap is a nice length around your Neck doesnt hang too low. - Image quality by and large looks good, want a wide angle lens and need to understand better ISO's that keep using Auto and pre defined modes for shooting.

Complete Novice like me can pick the camera up and use the different modes

I have been waiting for Nikon to make a DSLR with a flip out screen, and Wow they finaly have, and what a camera. as i have mobility problems, taking shots from low angles or high angles is a real problem.

Only just played with it on automatic for a few pictures but the clarity of the picture is fabulous and sharp with good colour. Changing lenses is going to take some getting used to again but the camera feels nice and solid in my hands and at the moment it is my lack of confidence and need to...

Love this camera. It takes great pictures. I just have to read the manual for all the things it can do. With kids, it's great, no more waiting for the camera to focus and the flash to warm up with a point and shoot. This is like a point and shoot but gives you instant and great results.

It's a thick book, with high quality photos for a very low price. Buts, it's very long winded on the very basic stuff so it's geared at someone who's starting point is learning to push the shutter button halfway.
