Nikon D5100

Nikon's D5100 DSLR arrives just a year after the release of the D5000 it replaces, offering higher resolution, improved video performance and a more adjustable LCD monitor. Slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor, it's the first Nikon DSLR with built-in special effects.

Adding to the line of DSLR cameras, Nikon has come up with another model i.e. Nikon D5100 , which is a successor of the very famous D5000 DSLR snapper of the Nikon family. A rock solid performer, and more than a match for most other cameras in its class

Fantastic color performance; Controls are well placed and easily used; Playback options are information rich

No internal focus motor limits lens choice

Although there has been some overlap, digital SLR development has gone through some quite distinct phases.

Why no firmware update to support AF-P lenses

Why no firmware update to support AF-P lenses Seems like an easy and friendly gesture from Nikon, but I guess any work to support older products is not forthcoming. Do not buy (it's outdated anyway).

Love at first click.

Purchased this camera for vacation in Seattle. More than did the job. Most photos I took were through glass, such as the aquarium or zoo, and it looked as though there was no glass. Stuck to auto mode but it got the job done!

Comfortable Hold; Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Lightweight; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD

Short Battery Life

Fantastic Camera

This camera has captured some of the most amazing pictures i've ever seen. the colors are much more vibrant then my sony 10mp point and shoot. For the price this camera can't be beat. Make sure you buy a fast SD card, it helps.

Easy to Use; Great Resolution

doesn't come with a fast sd card
