Nikon D4 review
The Nikon D4 has some fairly big shoes to fill. Its predecessor, the 12.1-megapixel Nikon D3S was a veritable low-light killer, capable of shooting crisp images even in poor lighting without a flash.
Pros:
- Separate 91,000-pixel sensor is dedicated to light metering, autofocus and recognising and adjusting to different shooting scenarios
- More rounded and ergonomic design with lower pentaprism still lets you see 100 percent of what you're shooting through the viewfinder.
Cons:
- Second card slot is Sony's new and expensive XQD format
- Built-in mic only offers mono sound
- Burst shooting is a frame slower per-second than the competing Canon 1D X

If I could send it back I would
My choice of the D4 was somewhat influenced by the spiel from the Nikon rep at last years BVE (broadcast Video Exhibition) I was taken in by the cameras ability to shoot full HD in full frame (FX) format. If they are at the show this year I'll be doing a bit of "ear-bending"!
Pros:
- Durable
Cons:
- Low-Quality Recordings

Nikon D4
Nikon's professional workhorse digital SLR camera gets more than a single-digit upgrade to its model number in the new D4. Though encased in a body of similar size and shape to its predecessors, the Nikon D4 now uses a 16.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor backed up by a new EXPEED 3 image...

Four years ago, the D3 was revolutionary as a sports/action still-image DSLR . It was the first Nikon SLR that has more than 11 AF points, and it made a big jump to 51. The D3's high- ISO capability was amazing compared to that from its predecessors the D2H/D2X.

Nikon D4 Hands-On
As you probably know by now, the Nikon D4 is continuing down the same path blazed by the D3 and D3s. It's not a revolutionary change from the D3s, but rather a solid evolution to the next generation of DSLRs.

The Nikon D4 is the camera that Nikon is hoping will be the camera of choice for professional sports photographers and photo journalists shooting the Olympic Games in London this summer.
Pros:
- A great AF system
- good noise control and huge sensitivity range are contained in an ergonomically arranged body
Cons:
- Slight movement in the memory card bay is a little disconcerting
- The AF system is complex, and its various options could be made clearer in the menu for the uninitiated
- There may be 51 AF points, but they are all clustered around the centre of the frame and within the DX crop.

Nikon D4 Review
Dear Aaron, could you kindly throw some light on this statement - "It offers above average image quality that can easily put most other commercial DSLR cameras in the market to shame." Nikon D4 is one of the flagship models from Nikon and the image quality is one of the best in class!
