European Professional Camera
The best professional camera of the year is Nikon's full frame 16-million-pixel D4, for its ability to deliver the highest image quality even in extremely difficult conditions. Tests performed by EISA magazines found the camera has an exceptional combination of high resolution, wide dynamic range,...

If you are a serious sports shooter this is your camera
I've had this camera for a couple months. I was nervous about parting with that kind of money for a camera - there are several out there that have great specs for a lot less - but once you have it in your hands and once you've used it for a while - you will be soooo happy you took the plunge.
Pros:
- FAST, fast, and it's fast
- It shoots fast, writes fast, and changing modes is fast, adjusting anything is fast...
- this camera has everything you need - right in front of you
- When you hold it - it just feels 'right'
- Well done Nikon
Cons:
- Wish the GPS was built in (I do not have the GPS adapter)
- and it will be a great day when wifi transfer is built in
- and wireless wifi remote control ability (via iPhone/iPad) is built in

Nikon D4
The transmitter lets you see images in Live View on your iPad, plus set the autofocus point and shooting mode and trigger the shutter remotely. "This is something else that is likely to appeal to wildlife photographers who may want to sit remotely from their camera," says TechRadar.com's Davies.
Pros:
- Superb image quality
- Tough build
- Thoughtful features like backlit buttons
- built-in Wi-Fi
Cons:
- Slightly slower than Canon EOS-1D X
- Canon pulls ahead slightly in low light
- Mixed reactions to new XQD memory card format

- Ultra-fast autofocus
- Very fast continuous drive with deep buffer
- Extremely fast and responsive
- Ultra-short black-out
- Good color-accuracy
- Flexible self-timer and exposure delay
- Highly customizable with plenty of controls
- Dual memory cards can...
Cons:
- Poor Automatic WB in low-light
- Overly soft JPEGs
- Bizarre Auto ISO
- Poor Live-view
- not Exposure-Priority
- Exposure Delay mode hidden in menu
- Indistinct ISO button
- Rather bulky
- No 16:9 guidelines for time-lapse

Nikon D4 field review
It's an amazing DSLR, but only a minor improvement over the already-astounding D3S.
Pros:
- Superb image quality
- Amazing low-light abilities
- 1080p movie mode
Cons:
- A bit pricey
- Terrible "Quiet" mode
- Weak battery

Highly recommended for those who want the latest & greatest!
Upgraded from the D3s there are some very fine enhancements from the previous model. The new screen is great. Image quality is too. I have not acquired the new memory card just using my old CF cards. I have heard some really like while others don't like having 2 different card slots.

If I could send it back I would
My choice of the D4 was somewhat influenced by the spiel from the Nikon rep at last years BVE (broadcast Video Exhibition) I was taken in by the cameras ability to shoot full HD in full frame (FX) format. If they are at the show this year I'll be doing a bit of "ear-bending"!
Pros:
- Durable
Cons:
- Low-Quality Recordings

The Nikon D4: A Pro's Point Of View
The Nikon D4 is a large sized, 16MP, lightning fast D-SLR, with high-definition video capability good enough to satisfy an independent film producer. At first, my thought was to see how the D4 worked when used for the more mundane subjects I shoot than what it was designed for, and to see how it...
