4 and we're floored
Faster, smarter, and more lust-worthy than ever, the Nikon D4 ($5,999) is the culmination of a carefully chosen list of features and enhancements, leaving what works and adding what's needed for the latest in a long line of full-frame (FX) pedigree pro cameras.

Speed, ease of use and image quality are the three main ingredients needed from a sports photographer's camera. Speed, because they don't want to miss any action at that decisive moment. Ease of use, as fiddling with controls can be the difference between getting the main back page image or not.

Prized possession!
Got the Nikon D4 from Flipkart when it was not available freely in any part of the world! Yes, Flipkart wrote after about 10 days informing that they will not be in a position to supply and ultimately ended-up dispatching the item. Awesome machine brilliant under low light (high ISO) conditions.

Nikon D4 review
When we reviewed the Nikon D3S in AP 2 January 2010, it scored an impressive 89%, making it one if the best DSLRs we have ever tested. Physically, the camera was nothing groundbreaking, based as it is on the existing Nikon D3.

The Nikon D4 ($5,999.95 list, body only) represents the dream camera of many a professional photographer. It's a huge beast that can rattle off shots at an impressive 10 frames per second, focus with speed and accuracy, and do just about anything else you need it to. On the sidelines of an NFL game?
Pros:
- Full frame sensor
- Every physical control you could ever want
- Integrated vertical grip
- Shoots at 10 frames per second
- Very low image noise
- Uncompressed 1080p video output
Cons:
- Big and heavy
- 16-megapixel resolution
- Only one CF card slot

Nikon D4 Review
The Nikon D4 is a pro shooter's dream, with controls galore, and a big, bright optical viewfinder. This fully loaded full-frame D-SLR rattles off shots at a quick 10 frames per second, but all of this comes with a rather high sticker price and a steep learning curve. The Nikon D4 ($5,999.95 list, body only) represents the dream camera of many a professional photographer. It’s a huge beast that can rattle off shots at an impressive 10 frames per second, focus with speed and accuracy, and do just about anything else you need it to. On the sidelines of an NFL game? Pop on a telephoto lens and plug a cable into the Ethernet port—your photos will go straight to the wire service. Covering a wedding in available light? Reach for the 35mm f/1.4 lens and shoot at just about any ISO you can imagine—the resulting images will be printable. This is not to say that the D4 is the perfect photographic tool for every occasion—no camera is. Landscape photographers may opt for a D-SLR with an ultra-high-resolution sensor, like the 36-megapixel Nikon D800 ($2,995.95), and working pros with an investment in Canon glass are probably more interested in the EOS-1D X ($6,799) or 5D Mark III ($3,499). As it stands, the D4 is a worthy follow up to the company's D3s, ea...
