Upgraded from d3s to d4
I upgraded from a d3s that I owned for a couple years to the d4 which I have owned since August of 2012. The upgrade is well worth it for the additional features and image improvements over the d3s. I have found the d4's exterior is a little more rounded than the d3s and fits my hands perfectly.

Love the D4
The D4 is a great camera. It lives up to its reputation. I love the low noise at high ISO. I actually got it for a specific assignment where I needed the higher frame rate. It worked great. I'm a little disappointed with the feel of the body. I prefer the smaller metallic feel of the D2Xs.
Pros:
- Frame Rate
- ISO
Cons:
- Clunky
- Plastic Feeling

wow - a real monster
This black beast will surprise you in every little aspects. The very first device who use XQD cards - perform superbly together. And the price seems to be much affordable now (after D4s has been released).

In June 2014 I caved in and bought a d4 in Petaling Jaya to replace my D800 which had let me down again. Since I have taken nearly 25,000 shots with the d4, much more than with the d800 in two years.

There's a reason why it's almost never available - it's that GOOD.
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said (as long as it's good). There's a reason why it's almost never available - it's that GOOD.

- Fast frame-rates for action
- Fast and accurate auto-focus
- Improved handling and comfortable grip
Cons:
- ISO performance only slightly cleaner than D3S
- XQD card-slot forces users to upgrade

Nikon D4 Review: Feature-Packed Flagship
The full-frame DSLR market is highly competitive with solid options from several manufacturers including Nikon, Canon and Sony. And while Canon has had a grasp on those shooting DSLR video since the introduction of the 5D Mark II, Nikon has definitely moved forward with the D4's video features.
Pros:
- Excellent performance
- Stellar image quality
- Expanded video capabilities unmatched by competitors
- Excellent low light/high ISO performance
- Illuminated control buttons
Cons:
- Only camera to use expensive XQD card for second slot
- ISO 205,800 is
- perhaps
- overkill
- D3s may handle noise a little better
- Not much of a jump in image quality from D3s
