My first DSLR and I have not been disappointed. It is at the budget end of the market but has a great 24mp sensor and most of the bells and whistles a beginner to serious photography will need. I have been impressed with the photo quality and it has some great built in help for those learning.

Great step into a new world

Im a newbie photographer and this is my first interchange lens camera. I did alot of research and weighing my options and this Nikon seemed like the best bet for me. Great entry level kit

A great Christmas present from my wife! After spending an afternoon getting to know the camera features, Youtube was a great resource, I stoked to start taking pictures. The D3500 has a ton of features and should last me as long as I need the lenses are really only good for outdoor armature...

Nikon's latest entry into the budget DSLR category, the D3500 is bundled with an AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens, which offers great results for a kit lens. Under the hood, you'll find a brand new 24.2MP sensor, ISO range of 100-25,600 – perfect for low-light shooting – and nippy 5fps continuous...

Nikon D3500

The D3500 is a fine entry-level camera, especially for use at home. It has plenty of automatic features for family historians who care more about preserving memories than learning the ins and outs of f-stops, and also has the Guide Mode for those who want to take some creative control, but aren't...

Compact; Affordable; 24MP resolution; 5fps continuous shooting; Automatic image transfer via Bluetooth; In-camera shooting guide for beginners

Fixed LCD omits touch support; Contrast-based live view focus not ideal for video; No mic input

Fantastic camera and excellent quality photos

I've had a series of digital camera over the years but finally went for a DSLR. This one is superb, quick to focus, exposure excellent. It has an amazing range of settings. Couldn't have hoped for a better quality product.

Mikey likes it.

This is my first DSLR. I prefer looking through the view finder and I was not disappointed when I started using this camera. i especially like the guide and the auto feature. It is fun trying to take photos that are better than the auto feature.I like the size and weight and the texture of the grip.
