This was purchased as a present for a teenage boy's 16th birthday, and he absolutely loved it. It is his first DSLR camera and the training mode which is built into the camera is really handy as it makes it very easy to use right out of the box, without having to consult the manual too much...
It says it comes with built in wifi but it doesnt, some newer cameras have a button older ones you can find wifi in setup menu. Nowhere in the entire menu can you find wifi which prevents me from snapping pictures with the nikon apps. Very disaapointed for what it costs.
The D3400 was a little pricey at launch, but now its price has fallen it's a superb starting point for anyone new to DSLRs. It's easy to use, has excellent image quality and of course it's compatible with an enormous number of high quality lenses.
