D3200 Review

fixed typos: 10/12/12 Nikon D3200 Review Nikon Invents a New Term, the HD-SLR Add a comment or send Thom feedback on this article. I know this annoys some of you who just want the facts, but I personally don't think that you can fully understand a product without understanding a bit about how it's...
Pros:
  • Needs Better Lenses . This a V8 engine in a small car designed for a flat four, Video is wobbly. Rolling shutter problems are still visible, though not as bad as the D3100. Talking head videos are okay
  • roller blade action, not so much, Missing Features .

Nikon D3200

The NikonD3200 is the DSLR has the ability to capture the largest images, at 24mega pixel, the highest definition I have ever reviewed. Just think for a moment one tenth of the image size should be enough to print an A4 image if you use it all.

Nikon D3200 Review

If you are planning to step up from a digital compact camera to a DSLR, then a likely option to consider would be entry-level digicams from the likes of Canon or Nikon. Last year, we reviewed the EOS 1100D , the base model from Canon and it was a decent camera that would be an ideal choice, if Canon...

The Nikon D3200 camera

It's been two weeks since I bought the D3200 and I've been spending a lot of time with it. It's one of my first few purchases with my hard earned money online and I've been searching for a good DSLR for a month or so and I badly wanted one with me on my college tour.

Nikon D3200

Although Nikon announced its D3200 entry-level DSLR back in April 2012, we didn't receive a review unit until early November, which is a pity as this camera is positioned to attract many buyers, coming as it does in a classy red as well as basic black.

Nikon D3200

The Nikon D3200 set tongues wagging when announced last month. Its headline-grabbing 24-megapixel sensor promised to be unlike anything the entry-level DSLR market had seen before. But in a world where the megapixel isn't always king, can the D3200 deliver across the board, and, more importantly, is...
Pros:
  • Excellent image quality
  • Guide mode useful for beginners
  • Full HD movie capture (plus external mic input)
  • great battery life
Cons:
  • LCD too cold/cyan
  • pricey for an entry-level model
  • autofocus is the same old system - Sony A65 offers better performance
  • no autofocus for older non-AF-S lenses
  • flash too eager to pop up in auto modes when not always necessary

Nikon D3200 Review

Without a doubt, the Nikon D3200 is a very impressive little camera. Despite the fact that it is targeted at beginners and those upgrading from a point and shoot camera, the D3200 can deliver superb high resolution images that closely rival even some of the higher-end offerings from Nikon.

Nikon D3200 review - At just £279 it's a bit of a bargain

The Nikon D3200 was the compnay's budget DSLR launch for 2012, and it was good enough to instantly make the older D5100 obsolete. Despite now being over three years old and being superseded twice, it's still widely available from major retailers.

Nikon D3200 Review: A Mega Boost in Resolution

While the D3200 may be Nikon's entry-level DSLR, its 24.2 megapixel resolution sensor makes it the highest resolution cropped sensor camera in the entire Nikon fleet. With its predecessor carrying only 14.2 megapixels it's clear that Nikon chose to go for high resolution versus high ISO performance...
Pros:
  • Good video and images
  • Plenty of resolution for crops
  • Light and compact
Cons:
  • Quirks in video start process
  • Some noise at higher ISO
  • Distortion Control feature limits burst frames
